Press power TV come on for a few sound and turn off?
i have a Craig CTV2000 and the picture gets fuzzy then it turns itself off, called a television repair and they cannot find this model sooooo, what do i do
Have you contacted the manufacturer yet in order to better assist you with a legit repair electronic place in your area?
I also goggled the model# since the manufacturer didn't pull it. It appears you have a UK 2001 model which would mean you are experience the collision between PAL and NTSC!! You might either not get audio otherwise you will get a scrambled audio sound which sounds like munckins then a distroted pixelated and zigg-zagg appearance consistantly on every screen. There isnt anything you can do with this since everything is broadcasted in NTSC in the USA and no pal unless you have a pal DVD player.
Do you have a pal DVD player that might work ok with this?
btw, the different between pal and ntsc is a totally different speed between them which it just doesnt and never will work together.btw, the different between pal and ntsc is a totally different speed between them which it just doesnt and never will work together.

sounds like a defective str power regulator ic .......but my advice get a tech to resolder all the pins at the power suppy board area, there may be some open pins that triggers the on and off episodes
it is maybe power supply is damage, please
check the fuse of power supply,if it is fuse is damage, you can change it.if fuse is ok,you can change power supply boards.when you find which boards is defective, you can
search by pcb number on www.wisiny.com
I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.
Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV
up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors.
Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although
were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of
preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected
due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.
