Owners Manual Just recieved a Canon Sure Shot 105 Zoom Date. Don't have a clue what any of the settings are, and I put a new battery in and it still read only a quarter on the power meter???????? Where can I find an Owners Maunal? Pls Help Thank You

Turn the power off and on. If the H is still displayed, replace the battery.

If you have a changing bag, you can put the camera inside, open the back, remove the film, and rewind it by hand. You can also do the same in a darkroom (a photographic darkroom, not just a dark room). A good camera store can do it, though you'll probably also have to have the film processed there.

If you have any plans to use the camera in the future, you may as well invest in a battery now. You can take the battery out of the camera and set it aside to preserve the charge.

The Sure Shot Zoom S uses a 2CR5 6V lithium battery. You should be able to find one at an electronics or office-supply store. If all else fails,

Shutter Block is bad.

Sounds like the film either didn't advance thru the camera or its been rewound.

The flashing H means hat the camera has detected a hardware fault on starting up. It can also mean that the film has mis-loaded. Try removing the film & then the battery to reset it. Put the battery back & switch on. If it's still doing it then I'm afraid it's got the 'flashing "H" of Doom'. Although this is repairable, it's usually not economically viable.

There are two conditions under which a blinking "H" will appear in the
LCD panel: (1) when the film has been loaded incorrectly or (2) when the
camera's self-test process detects an internal malfunction. If a
blinking "H" indication appears, perform the following operations in
attempt to resolve the situation:

1. Rewind and remove the film using the rewind button, then remove the
battery to clear the memory.

2. Clean the contacts at the base of the battery compartment with a
clean pencil eraser to ensure proper contact between the camera and
battery.

3. Replace the battery, power the camera back up and operate it as if
it had film loaded, pressing the shutter release.

I've purchased several of these cameras used as we liked our first on and it eventually failed with this same problem. I have had four of these now and they all end up with this same problem. Take the battery out then turn the selector to any new position and then off, put the battery back it and the lens should recline and camera turn off. One of the cameras would then work for a while after doing this but then hang up again. I think this is a very common problem based on my experience but no other confirmation than yours.
