I changed the code on my Craftsman garage door opener and I don't remember what it is. Now I can change it to a new code. The door will not open How do I reset it?

I wish you had included the model number of this keypad but anyway go to this website. Click on manuals and enter your model. You can download the manual.
If you are trying to change the code of your remotes the answer is you can't. If you erase the code by holding in the smart/learn button and the reprogram your opener you are putting the same codes in that were there before.
The odds are the keypad will not work with your new opener. The radio frequency has been changed on the new openers. But if you want to try you just press and immediately release the smart/learn button on the motor unit and then walk over to the keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter. These instructions are for a wireless keypad.
what keypad are you using with new opener? Frequency has changed. can't use old one. you probably never needed to change things; just needed to follow proper coding procedures.
