Hello,

Yes you will have to move from under worktop and then remove the side panel that the cord has broken. It may be worth checking the other cord and replacing both if worn. Also check if something is catching to cause the cord to break.

Hope this helped.

Wondering how to remove a dishwasher from under a kitchen counter.

Not sure about a dishwasher but front loading automatic washers, fridges and the like are drawn out by opening the door and reaching and grasping whatever hand hold there is inside (the ledge of the door aperture) - if there is nothing to grasp then two people can stand, one either side. The person on the left lifts with the flat of his right hand and the other with his left hand...

The machine won't turn on (no power light even). Trying to find the reset button. Where the cord enters the machine on the back ( top left) there is a a plastic cover housing the cord. I cannot see

Sounds like you have a bad door switch. Check to make sure there isn't a broken switch in the door housing. If not, this unit has a belt switch on it. Try spinning the drum by hand. If it's really loose and not tight, you need a new belt or the machine wont start.

Kitchen aide dish washer the door is sagging on one side. The hinge seems to be disconnected

If that is an under cabinet model, you need to pull it out of the position that it is in. The hinge pin is most likely damaged or broken. To pull it out, rermove the screws that are holding it to the counter top. Then slide it out

My hotpoint ultima wt761 door catch has broken how can i open the door

If you have a broken door catch you can get the door open by feeding some garden wire around the right hand outside of the door (between the door and the metal casing of the washing machine).

Once you've fed it in round the top right and bottom right curved corners pull the two ends of the wire to the left, so that the wire pulls against the lock mechanism, and the catch should release.

How install a drive belt on GE Dryer DBVH512EFWW.

Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Phillips screwdriver
  1. Unplug the dryer and open the dryer door.

  2. Unscrew the screws under the top lip, where the dryer's door closes, with your screwdriver. Once these screws are removed, lift the top off of the dryer. On older models, the entire top will hinge upward out of the way, and on models made after 1997, half the top will pull off.

  3. Remove the screws on the inside-top corners of the front panel so the front panel of the dryer can be removed and set aside. On models made before 1997, the front panel should be carefully set to the right side; on newer models, the panel should be set to the left side of the machine. Be careful not to damage the door-control wires.

  4. Locate two screws approximately 6 inches off the floor on each side and remove them, allowing you to push the sides of the dryer slightly apart so the drum can be removed. Pull the drum slightly toward you and reach around to remove the dryer belt from the motor pulley. If the belt is broken, this step should not be necessary. Once the belt has been removed from the motor pulley, the drum should pull up slightly and out of the dryer toward you.

  5. Remove the old dryer belt and put the new one in place, with the ribs of the belt facing the drum. The slack part of the belt should be placed near the motor. Reverse the previous directions to replace the drum, replace the screws that hold the sides in place, replace the front and replace the top.

  6. Pull the dryer out from the wall and remove the four screws holding in the panel near the bottom of the back of the dryer. You will see the motor, the drum and the belt you just set in place. Loop the belt around the motor pulley and the idler pulley, and turn the drum by hand to make sure that the belt is straight and will stay in place. Screw the panel back on and push the dryer back into place against the wall.

The door hinge block has fallen inside the front of the washer. To retieve it, tilt the washer back, and you should find it at the left hand side.
Remove all screws securing 2 parts of door together, prise apart with a screwdriver or similar, and the door will come apart.
You can now access the hinge and all other partsd inside the door.
Trust this helps.
Thankyou.

The door to my Sharp microwave over the counter will not close

You can fix this. The same thing happened to my Sharp Microwave.

I got my parts at www.repairclinic.com . On my partidular model (which is probably onder than yours) there is a right hand latch and a left hand latch. Make sure of the one you need. Heck - buy them both.

The door was a little trickey for me to get apart - there was a plastic strip hiding the screws.

While I had it apart, I replaced the door safety interlock switches too ... you may want to consider replacing yours as well.

Also, as long as you have it all apart, you might want to change the lamp as well.

If you need more help with this ... tack a note on to this post.

I hope I have helped you ...

GE Side by Side Frig Door Flies Open to Far

Look under the front of the fridge, should be some adjustments to raise and lower the wheels or feet for leveling. Level it with a level on the top, should help keep the doors from swinging.

Spring on door is broke. do I need to pull

The door springs are located at each door hinge and connect to the frame body along each side of the dishwasher. If you remove the lower toe panel directly below the door you should be able to see them. However, in order to access them to repair/replace you WILL need to pull the dishwasher out to get to them in most cases. You may not have to remove the dishwasher all they way, however, if you have enough slack in the water supply line, power cord and drain line. Just follow these steps:

1. Turn off the main power or unplug dishwasher.
2. Remove lower toe panel.
3. Remove the screws under the counter top holding the dishwasher in place.
4. With the screws removed, carefully pull the dishwasher out. Watch through the toe panel opening to see if you have enough slack in the power cord and water lines.

You may have enough clearance to locate the springs on the each side to make your repairs. If not, you will need to turn off the water supply and disconnect the water supply line on the left hand side inside toe panel. You may also have to remove the electrical lines inside the junction box inside the toe panel. It is usually located right in front for easy access. Make sure the power is turned off at the breaker, or the unit is unlugged before servicing the electrical supply. For reinstallation, the color codes are as follows:

BLACK - HOT (120 VAC)
WHITE - NEUTRAL (0 VAC)
GREEN (or Bare) - GROUND

If you have any questions, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
