SOURCE: Measurements for Rice

Most of my experience with the rice cookers is that they require a japanese rice Cup which is different than the japanese regular cup. makes a whole lot of not sense but i found a replacement cup at one of the local Japanese Markets if you had to you could use regular measuring cup and use the 160ml for your measure. also the cup has a "Inomata" on it so maybe the web can help you

SOURCE: Rice Measurements

You use one cup of water for each cup of uncooked rice. You end up with about 2 cups of cooked rice for every cup of uncooked rice. Different varieties, such as brown rice, take more water, up to 2 cups of water per cup of uncooked rice. If the resulting rice is too dry, you can add more water and restart the cooker.

I am not sure, but I believe that 16 cups refers to cooked rice, so you should not put more than 8 cups of uncooked rice in the cooker.

SOURCE: I need cooking instructions for RC3406 6 cup rice cooker

I ran into the same problem locating this manual. Black and Decker has the manual for the 3 cup on their site but not the 6 cup. I did find a manual for the Rival brand version which appears to be the same thing. You can find it at the URL

How much water to one half cup of jasmine rice

Hello, Steve -

If you are cooking the jasmine rice the traditional way on a stove, the ratio of rice to water is:

3/4 cups of water to 1/2 cup of rice (per most instructions on packages); for softer rice, add just a little bit more water, plus it is recommended to rinse the rice and drain it prior to cooking
See:
https://www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/perfect-jasmine-rice.html

If you are using an electric rice cooker, the rice to water ration is:
1/2 cup of rice to 1/2 cup of water; rinse and drain the rice prior to cooking
See:

Best wishes.

Is this 10 cups raw or cooked rice?

Hi Jane:
Don't have any info about your question but,
if you start with 10 cups of raw (uncooked) rice you will end up wit a LOT of cooked rice.
I'd suggest that you re-read the instructions for the recipe or whatever it is you're up to.
Hope it's a raisin rice pudding.
MMMMMMMMM.

I need the recipe for cooking rice in Crystalia Steamer/Rice Cooker

The general rule for cooking rice whether its in a rice cooker or a deep pan is to rinse the rice three times, put the same amount of water in the cooker (1 cup water to 1 cup rice). Turn on the cooker, let the rice cooker complete its cycle. Let the rice sit in the cooker for 10-15 minutes to steam. Serve.
You can vary the amount of water depending upon whether you want drier or moister rice. Enjoy.
