Hello,
Try tipping the dishwasher back to see if any water drains out from below if there is water present then the anti-flood device is energised and stopping water coming into the unit.If it works now after resetting then there is a leak under the machine that needs investigating. You can try going into the diagnostics to read the alarms. If you hold in the first and third button from the left on programmer, whilst holding in then press the on/off button then when the lights start racing release these 2 buttons. You should now be in the diagnostics, now press the first button once and count the flashes of the end of cycle LED.If this button is pressed 2 more times it will give the previous alarms.1 flash could indicate fault on inlet water and valve.2 flashes drain circuit blocked.3 flashes anti-flood device.8 flashes faulty circuit board.Make sure after reading alarms to switch off unit then on then off to reset. Then go back into the diagnostics as before to reset alarms but this time press button 2 from left all LEDS will flash after exit as before.

Hope this helps.

You may have a problem with the cut-off switch that activates when the water fills the tub and lifts up the float.

I have Zanussi DX6453 dishwasher. Suddenly it is not drying our dishes. All programs working. Do you think is problem with Element or Thermostat. It is heating water.

sugget the water temperature, it relies on the temperature of the water to heat to items up so that when the wash cycle has finished the heat will dry them. Hope this is useful. Regards Mike

Dishwasher power there but wont fill up with water makes a slight buzz sound any ideas please ?? It's a Zanussi zdt6252 by the way..

The slight buzz is coming from the water inlet valve solinoid. It's OK.

But check whether water is getting into the inlet tube of the washer. Check the filter at the rear of the dish washer body wher the inlet tube from your water tap is connected.

The machine is not taking any water in

First check the water supplies at the back of the machine.
That is either a problem wit the inlet valve , or with the water level switch.

See the following suggestions from Repairclinic:

There's no water entering the machine If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:

Water-inlet valve
Float switch
Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.

Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

Zanussi dishwasher DA 6141 6 years old

Check first the filters on the inlet water line (both sides). Then, if problem still exist - check that the inlet water valve works(it is an electromagnet valve, located at the pipe's entrance to the machine)). If it doesn't work, test that it get power. In case it get power and doesn't work - You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! Check as well for valve's coil resistance. In case you have no resistance measurement - you should replace it for a new one. Good luck

Still too long for a cycle

how long does cycle take? if program actually finishes there is unlikely to be a problem. factors which can affect cycle times are inlet water temp and rate water is entering the machine
