Speed up your computer by:

-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk

do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Thanks

Just you remove the temp file by typing the following command in the run : %temp% temp
The above both command will remove the temp file and help somewhat in speed up your PC. But I would recommended you to upgrade your PC if possible.

Will Windows XP work on a Compaq 5020?

Yes, but it will be somewhat slow on such a old computer. I would recommend getting a new computer or buying a newer used computer, for example from ebay.

Looking at the manual for this motherboard your maximum ram is 512mb in two sticks of 256mb each. Speed rating is pc133 (maximum). You may struggle with the external hard drive as you only seem to have usb 1.1 and not usb 2.0
