Hi,
I had just bought a new canon rebel xti (less than a week old) and when I tried the
flash, it does not fire off. The flash will pop up when in auto mode or
if you push the flash button, but it just won't 'flash'. The busy flash
symbol also comes up before taking a picture , and I noticed that the
pictures I take (with the flash popped up) are dark, so the camera is
assuming the flash is going off, but it's not. Also, I havent used any
external on the camera as of yet.

Same problem, but my flash use to fire. Now it just pops up but does not flash. It is a few months old.
Same problem except my flash used to work. In fact, unless I manually raise the flash, the camera doesn't work properly. Any suggestions?
Canon rebel xti built-in fash does not work in automatic mode - white light goes on when taking pictures
My camera is almost 2 years old and everything worked perfectly until this week. The on camera flash won't pop up. I can manually open it but it still won't fire on any settings. My external 430 EX Speedlite flash works fine. I am hoping for an easy low cost solution!!
