Cutting off part of the picture

When printing a 4 x 6 picture, print preview shows the whole picture being printed. When printed the picture will cut off part of the picture, usually a persons head. Doesn't do it with all pictures being printed.

Canon cp 220 only prints 1/2 of the photo

There is nothing wrong with the Printer. The problem is the picture settings that are being used in the graphic software. You have not specified which Graphics or photo software you are using. Therefore I will generally tell you that you have to adjust the size and the dimensions of the photo you are printing. Make the photo small enough that it fits your page. Some graphics software also allow you to crop the photo (which means you zoom on a certain important part of the photo and bite it off and that part is sent for a print to printer). This whole game is in the software. Another important tip is that whatever photo or graphics software you use to print photos, never forget to preview your photo before you send it for printing. The Preview shows you how the overall image will look like after printing.

Epson R1800 On Print Preview of a photograph

I print with the R1800 as well as the 24" 7880 in my studio. Whenever the "preview" shows less than the whole image I intend to print it is generally either the orientation (portrait/landscpe) is set incorrectly or the Paper size selected is incorrect for the size of the print.

Hope this helps
