I just replaced an oven with a GE Profile True Temp single wall oven. Clock, light and all buttons work, but neither the bottom or top (broil) elements come on. When I set it to bake at 350 and push Start, the panel reads 100, and I get no heat. I tried the convection feature, and the fan comes on - but no heat at all. HELP!
Brand new??? under a year old??? if so you have a warr call for service, but it sounds like an ignitor isssue, brand new , perhapsgot damaged in shipping 1-800-ge-cares
1.Press the "Clear/Off" button on the control panel to reset the oven. This will clear the lock setting and unlock the door.
2.Allow the oven to cool to room temperature to avoid turning the lock on again during this heating cycle.
3.Reset the oven to the temperature you require to finish cooking by pressing the correct temperature control on the control pad.

1.If your GE Profile microwave won't turn on, unplug it, then plug it back in. A power outage may have occurred due to a power surge. Check your home's fuses and circuit breakers.
2.Set the clock of your GE Profile microwave. Certain models will not operate until you set the clock. Select the "Clock" key and type in the correct time.
3.Hold down your microwave's "Off" button. You may have accidentally hit the control-lock feature on your GE Profile microwave. Hold down the "Off" button for three seconds to turn the lock off.
4.If the sensors of your GE Profile microwave are not working correctly, remove the food from the machine. If the sensors detect food-surface temperatures over 200 degrees Fahrenheit, it will not work properly until the area cools down.
5.Contact GE Support if you are unable to resolve the issue on your own. Call the GE Support hotline or browse the help library on the GE website. You can also schedule a service visit on GE's website.

Oops - it's not brand new - it's about 4 years old. I bought it for $150 - the folks were redoing their kitchen and getting all stainless. The had the range too, but I only needed an oven (couldn't afford that anyway.) I wonder if it was damaged moving it?? It's electric. Any ideas??
Bless you! I'm going nuts trying to figure this out. No extra $$ to throw away. Model # is JTP18COD1CC. This morning I read about the sensor. I turned the oven on to 350 (which immediately reads 100 after I push start), then placed a hot sponge against the sensor - it went up to 139, so I removed the sponge, closed the door .... the sensor stayed at 139, no heat came from the element. When I turned it off and back on to 300, it read 100 again. The oven does click frequently, as if it is turning on and off when I leave it on for 5 minutes or so.
I had an electrician friend check the breaker (I didn't know that it could run all the lights, panel, etc., but not the two elements .... It was indeed a bad breaker. We replaced that & I roasted a 7.5 lb. chicken last night! Thanks!!!
I have GE Profile True Temp Model JKP45B2BB double wall oven. Clock, light and all buttons work, but neither the bottom or top (broil) elements come on. When I set it to bake at 350 and push Start, the panel reads 100, and I get no heat.

I have a simillar problem except the temperature rises, but not as expected
ie. If i set the oven to bake @ 400, it starts at 100 and slowly climbs, approx 40 minutes later it will be at 290, at this point I have shut it off as obviously there is an issue. My old oven to 6 minutes to reach 400 from room temperature..
please help,…
My GE Monogram ZET 1S M1SS Oven has a similar problem, the heating element will not turn on.
When I press "bake" or "broil" and set the temperature, the display just blinks and reverts to 100 before shutting off. For a while I have been able to eventually get it going just by trying repeatedly, but now it will not start. I suspect it is a bad control panel but want to be sure before I buy a rebuilt one since they are expensive.
replace
I would set temp to 350 degrees but would shut off on reaching 100 degrees
I TURN OVEN ON SET TEMP HIT START FAN COMS ON SOUNDS LIKE ITS WORKING BUT DOES NOT GET HOT.
I have the same problem with double oven :-(
