I have a Nordictrack a2050 model NTl10851,seems now,as i got used only the 3,6,10 mph keys work on the control panel.Also the incline controls do not work at all.just wondering what might be the problem,or if more than one,and if it is worth fixing.I am a boat tech and just need some assistance. You should immediately replace the console. That console will just keep getting worse. This is endemic of this brand, however it usually happens a lot further in the life of the unit. When you call Nordictrack have your model number.

1) test the receptacle wall, plug a desklamp for to see if work if is working go
2( testing the power cord for open or defective.
3) reset the machine
4) test the fuse for blown and replace
5) test the c.breaker for tripped and reset again.
6) test the key, the key is small magnet, you can test with your magnet refrigerator with atraction or repulse, if doesnot replace the magnet from home depot.

Try again, if the machine NOT work, the problem will be in the power supply see the block atached.

the motor controller is bad and needs replaced

Remove the console from the treadmill and remove the back
remove and replace the ribbon cables that run from the keypads to the control board (they are flat plastic strips that push into the board).
remove and replace all the connections on the console
reattach the console and calibrate by doing the following:
1. With the key off press the speed + and stop buttons at the same time and hold
2. place the key on and release the buttons
3. press the stop key once
4. press the speed up til it reaches 85
5. if your max speed is 10 mph then it should read about 9.8-10.2

If the keys will not work then the console is bad and would need replaced.

This sounds like a bad controller. If the machine is under warranty contact the warranty provider. The controller is not hard to replace if you are electrically inclined but it does require calibrating.

this function is to give a little more intensity exercise, while helping to raise the heart rate and thus burn fat. watch it more practical as a stress test.can use the runner at a speed of 3.5 mph and an elevation of 7.5 of inclination and see good results

Hello there, The machine is attempting to do an incline calibration. Keep the unit lowered as you have it, reinstall the safety key, allow the unit to go all the way to the top and then all the way to the bottom. The machine will stop when at the bottom and the screen will go back to normal. The machine will not overtravel the incline motor and damage it. Just let the calibration finish the procedure and you will be fine.
