The cold water flows very slowly at a trickle, whereas the hot flows great. Can the cold water hose get clogged or kinked to slow the flow?

Take off the hoses at the supply end and clean the screens. The cold water hose will clog faster than the hot because the sediment will collect in the hose filter instead of the tank, like the hot water.

Kenmore heavy duty 80 model 110. rinse cycle at cold is down to a trickle, and seems to be lessening. Takes hour plus for a full water load if mixed alright flow for warm and hot

Your cold water line is clogged, kinked or the water valve solenoid is not opening all the way. First check the hose, then the screen on the valve for clogs. If none then replace the water valve assembly.

Top loading washer

well first check for kinks in the cold water hose and also see if there is anything blocking the water flow from the hose.

If all looks find, then try replacing the solenoid valve for the cold water intake

Please let me know of anything you find or have questions on

Cold water trickles in and fills up slowly

You either have a water pressure/flow problem or the inlet screen in your inlet valve is clogged. Remove the cold water hose and use a bucket to check if you have good pressure and flow. If that is good, look and clean the inlet valve screen for debris. Hope this helps.

The cold water trickles. There is a "good" flow of water (hot&cold) to the machine yet, the cold water trickles out on any cold setting. The hot water has great flow. What could be the answer?

Sounds to me like your inlet valve is gunked up. You will need to replace your inlet valve. I would also check your hoses first to make sure the cold water hose does not have a screen on it that is full of calcium deposits. Hope this helps _MJ_

The water fills very slowly on rinse

You probably have a cold inlet valve with restricted flow, either because the filter on the inlet valve is clogged or because the cold valve is failing......If you wash on "warm" you have both hot and cold water mixed. On rinse there is probably only cold water used....Check water flow for HOT and COLD settings and you'll probably see the difference...Good luck...Nomess

The cold water fill just trickles, I removed filter it was not clogged, hot water runs fine. I checked water flow at faucet, I checked for kinked hose. Did not find any obvious problem. Is there a check...

Good day,
The washer has a dual valve, Hot and cold. The cold side has failed. Valve needs to be replaced. Very common problem.
Before changing, turn off cold water supply, remove cold water hose at the machines valve, and turn on to check for proper pressure.

Slow cold water flow won't go back to full flow

I think the water inlet valve is nearly stopped up with sediment in the screen filter where the supply hose screws to the valve.Cut the water off at the hose and disconnect and look for the screen. The hot water usually doensn't do this because the water has time to settle everything out while it's in the hot water heater.

Kenmore wash macine

its in your cold water line valve to the washer if it works good with hot water the valve are incoming line being blocked when you turn it on the pressure comes in fast then when pressure is gone water slows down so when its off the pressure builds back up it runs fast then slow

Kenmore washing machine 80 series

check for kinks in the pipe or restrictions to the flow in the pipes before it gets to the washer, if all is ok then check the filter on the outside of the water connector on the machine for dirt

if you confirm all is clear and the flow of water is not the problem before the machine, replace the cold water solenoid
