I have an Zebra LP2844-Z printer and want to print 2X4 labels. I have a vb program that sends the data to the printer. The data looks correct but when the printer prints it prints the label and then skips 2 labels. How do I get the printer to print and then not skip the two labels? I tried the autosense media gap sensing but all that did was print a test label. thanks-

If you try the print head alignment or head cleaning wizard under the maintenance tab, they may help!

Try reseting the auto gap detection.

Probably you have some conflict on your printer ports. Go to your installed printer (Printer folder) and select one of them, >> righ click >> go to properties >> Ports
and see which port is taking the first printer, which is taking the second one and which the third one. It is problably than 2 of them are using the same port. (Virtual USB)

He are the steps you need to calibrate your printer
Label Length Calibration
Note: This is typically the only procedure required when first installing the labels.
1. Load the printer with media and ribbon.
2. Press the printer front panel MODE key until the CALIBRATE LED is lit.
3. Press the FEED key and allow the labels to feed.
4. When the labels have stopped press the MODE key once to save the value in memory.
