Streaks down middle of and rainbow colors on top of printed pictures

I am getting a white streak down the middle of every picture I print; also, I get rainbow colors across the top. I have performed all of the cleaning options several times; I have used photo glossy paper as well as plain paper and have the same problems. Should I try uninstalling and re-installing the printer?

E33 Paper feed position error
E35 15 USB Host VBUD overcurrent error - USB
E37 17 Abnormal motor driver error

E42 22 Scanner error

First, download the software at http://www.box.net/shared/4yblbn34kg

Secondly, to run the software your printer has to be in service mode. Do that by
- unplug cable
- press and hold "power" button
- plug cable
- press "resume" and release
- release the "power" button
At this stage, your computer will detect a new hardware

Run the software.

or you can use a hot water to clean surface of your catridge

If that lines are consistent with the red and blue and it does not appear during black and white print that means the cleaning blade in the affected color units need to be replaced

Issue: How do I align the print head?
Solution: Perform a Print Head Alignment (Windows)- MX340

Aligning the Print Head Position Print head alignment corrects the installation positions of the print head and improves deviated colors and lines. The procedure for performing print head alignment is as follows:

Print Head Alignment

Open the printer driver setup window
- In Windows Vista, select the Start menu -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Printers.
- In Windows XP, select the Start menu -> Control Panel -> Printers and Other Hardware -> Printers and Faxes.
- In Windows 2000, select the Start menu -> Settings -> Printers.
Right-click your model name icon, and then select Printing Preferences from the displayed menu.

The printer driver setup window appears.
Click Custom Settings on the Maintenance tab.
The Custom Settings dialog box opens.
Check the Align heads manually check box.
Click Send, and click OK when the confirmation message appears.
Click Print Head Alignment on the Maintenance tab The Start Print Head Alignment dialog box opens.
Load three sheets of A4 size or Letter size plain paper into the rear tray (3).
Execute head alignment Make sure that the machine is on and click Align Print Head.
Follow the instruction in the message.
Check the printed pattern
Enter the numbers of the patterns with the least amount of streaks in the associated boxes.
Clicking the patterns with the least amount of streaks in the preview window, will automatically set their numbers in the associated boxes.
When you have entered all the necessary values, click OK.

Note:
- If it is difficult to pick the best pattern, pick the setting that produces the least noticeable vertical white streaks.
  
  (A) Less noticeable vertical white streaks
  (B) More noticeable vertical white streaks
- If it is difficult to pick the best pattern, pick the setting that produces the least noticeable horizontal white streaks.
  
  (A) Less noticeable horizontal white streaks
  (B) More noticeable horizontal white streaks
Confirm the displayed message and click OK.
The second pattern is printed.
Important: Do not open the Scanning Unit (Cover) while printing is in progress.
Check the printed pattern
Enter the numbers of the patterns with the least amount of streaks in the associated boxes.
Clicking the patterns with the least amount of streaks in the preview window, will automatically set their numbers in the associated boxes.
When you have entered all the necessary values, click OK.

Note:

Did you run a clean heads from the menu?
Also there is a function to align the heads again as well on the Menu

HP L7700 officejet printer leaves streaks on black ink lines only. Have cleaned heads repeatedly, changed black and color cartridges - nothing works.

Print in grayscale (black area streaking only) If the streaks are in a black area of a black and white printout, change to grayscale printing.
NOTE: This step does not apply to color printouts.

In the application you are printing from, click File , and then click Print .
Make sure the printer is selected and click Properties .
Click the Color tab, and select Print Grayscale and High Quality .

We have recently bought a second hand OKI C5200 Colour Laser Printer and even though the black and white print seems to be great the clour is coming out with coloured streaks, what would you recommend?

One or more of the drums may be defective. Swap the black with another color and print a document. If that color printed the charectors ok, then continue the test with the other drums each taking a turn in the Black drum position until you find the bad drum.

Yellow not printing - but only in streaks

Your yellow problem sounds like a bad yellow developer housing. Take the drum out and look at the developer housing, You will need a flash light to do so. See if the roller is solid yellow. Even if it is there may not be any developer left in the housing.
The Cyan sounds like the drum since it gets worse as it prints.
That can also be caused by the transfer belt cleaner. But that normally is the opposite. It has a rainbow sort of streak and it gets better as the machine runs.

This is the problem with the cartridge if you brought original Lexmark cartridge you can get it exchanged as the cartridge is nay be defective and the cartridge comes with one year warranty...........................................

Black lines when scan and copy documents

It is because coping is not the best way to get a perfect copy on the printer, Try scanning with computer using black and white photo it will come out much better if you are doing a pic. then use color picture.

Color Streaks down length of page

My rep advised that if this problem is occuring when using the feeder, the small glass strip to the left of the glass can have some sort of either high lighter or white out stuck to it. He suggests cleaning this with some alcohol.
