Hotpoint Aquarius wd440 washer/dryer wont pump out water HELP!

I have the above mentioned washer/dryer and yesterday I was washing the dogs blanket and the washing machine stopped on the rinse/spin cycle (due to my 18 m/o pressing buttons as they do) and filled right up with water. Now the machine is detecting an upbalanced load and will not spin or pump out. Before I call out a repair man can anyone give any suggestions how I can get the water out of the machine without opening the door. Pls help xx

Hold the start button for 5 seconds this should clear previous program. then select drain on your dial. press start as normal and machine will drain. if this does not work the only other remedy is with help, making sure the end of the drain hose is higher than drum at all times take machine outside, lean it back at 45 degrees agaist a wall with a towel or similar covering lid to stop scratching . working from underneath loosen the large jubillee clip that connects the drum to pump drain hose to the drum. As the drum is overfull there is no recepticle large enough to fit under so just let water just flow away. Dry every thing off. make sure you don't loose ping pong ball in filter and make sure filter is clear. refitting is reverse of removal

Wf310 hotpoint aquarius washing machine wont spin or drain

Power off the mains. The filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at the bottom. Four screws hold it on. Drain out all the water. The filter is inside the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum. Remove the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big white ball which floats. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To refit put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball back into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir clip. Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic clip. Check out the pump too before reconnecting.

Not drying

the steam gets condensed back to water and pumped away so sometimes draining problems cause poor drying. is the machine plumbed in according to handbook?
also your dryer filter may be blocked but this is not accesable without the dryer box being stripped down.

remove bottom rear panel. you will see a large diameter hose going from tub to pump. undo this hose at the tub end - lots of water will come out. filter is inside this hose. remove and clean

Aquarius Hotpoint WD440. 1400 Spin

The next step should be the pump out. If it is not pumping check your pump filter for obstructions. Check the drain hose and also your drain in the wall. If all are clear you may have a bad pump. You should have an error code coming up when the machine stops also, please let me know what it is. Thanks and I hope I can FixYa.

Hotpoint Aquarius wd440

Find the pipe that comes out of the bottom of the drum, this may contain coin, muck, etc. Clean. This pipe leads to the small pump that draws the water out. If your clean of the pipe does not work the machine.......there could be a fault with your pump..........which you can/cannot clean.
