With the phone idle, you keep pressint the * (or the TRANSFER key) until what you want is on the display. It uses one or the other key because the 77xx phone works on more than one system.

What did I miss? I'm looking at my KX-T7735 phone (3 line display) connected to a TAW-848. It has the date and time. If I press TRANSFER, it shows the extension 101 CARL, and if I press it a 3rd time it says Day Mode. If I plug it into a TA-824 and press the *, it shows date and time, then date and day, then the extension number.

If that's not the question you asked, what is it?

How very odd. I get the user who can't read. Do you think this solution is wrong? http://www.fixya.com/support/t4113570-se...

My office system is a TAW-848. It uses the TRANSFER key. My bench TA-824 uses the * key. It ain't rocket science here.

Panasonic KX-T773 reads "102:" instead of date/time

Your extension reads 102 because that is the extension #.
Press either the tranfer key or the " * " star key and your display will change to time and date or just the date.

That is your phone's extension number (102).

Changing date on Panasonic KX-T7731

If it is displaying "101:" that is your extension. You can press the * key (with phone on the hook) to scroll your display through date and time formats and to display your extension.

When it says "PITS-PGM NO" you will need to press one of the buttons on the numerical key pad to choose a function to change.

Hope this helps!

How do I set the time and date?

You must be on the main phone on jack 01 to set time. You can determine if your phone is jack 01 by pressing PROGRAM and then pushing the number 6 on the dial pad. The phone will read the jack and extension number. When you have determined the jack 01 phone, do the following. 1. Push PROGRAM key 2. Dial "0" 3. Enter year (last 2 digits) 4. Enter month (01-12) 5. Enter day (01-31) 6. Enter day of week (Sun 0, Mon 1, Tue 2, Wed 3, Thu 4, Fri 5, Sat 6.) 7. Enter Hour (01-12) 8. Enter Minute (00-59) 9. Press 0 for AM 1 for PM 10. Press "AUTO DIAL/STORE" key 11. Push PROGRAM key to return to normal mode.
