I have a Disney Cars Ramone DVD player that my son has somehow locked with a "parent" lock, specifically when you push the open button the screen says to enter a password. Since I didn't enter a password, I have no idea of what to do. I've lost the instruction manual so I can't look it up. I have tried unplugging the DVD player and taking the batteries out of the remote, but nothing is working.
yeah i have the same problem, it just came like that i guess. I looked it up in the instruction manual and it doesn't say anything about that so whe don' know what to do either..yeah i have the same problem, it just came like that i guess. We have the same problem with ours only with certain dvd's and there is no solution anywhere in the owners manual at all.We have the same problem with ours only with certain dvd's and there is no solution anywhere in the owners manual at all.

Unfortunately there are no known ways to change the user code. The parental controls are set because it's a DVD player for kids - and you must input the password every time you want to play a DVD.
1369 is the code to allow you to play blocked movies. I still
haven't found a way to change the level. Again, you have to input the code each
time. I know it stinks, but I guess they didn't think of the parental feature in its entirety.
I too have the Ramone DVD player and had quite a surprise the first time I popped in a PG rated DVD. There is no mention of a parental code, turning it on or off or ANYTHING in the manual. On another website, I found the code 1369, which seems to work. I taped it to the bottom of the really cool remote. Still found nowhere to change it, etc. Least you can watch your movie!

I called the custoner service number 1-866-387-1902 & the parental lock code is 1369. I had the same problem and this worked for me. Good luck. This parental code is for all disney tv, dvd combos.
Manual is of no help anyway!! or I wouldn't be here. But maybe Best buy can help. They have these players and if this doesn't help me...that's where I am going!!
The parent control lock out code is 1234, you need to press yes then enter the code using the remote type in 1234 then press play button again and it unlocks the parent controls!
