Kenmore micowave the micowave keep telling me it locked how do I unlock it?

THE BUTTONS ON MICOWAVE IS STICKING TRY PUTING A MILD SALUTION ON BUTTONS.

due to the fact that micowaves produce extreme amounts of high range rayons the units are constructed with several safety features one of the main ones being twin micro switches built into the door latching. when the door is open it sends a signal to the microwave to stop working so unless both latches are in place and strike the switches the unit will think the door is open and not respont to cook. you will have to have the door latch replaced parts are available form www.kenmore.com as well as ebay and as close as your local reapir shop.

THe microwave has to be removed from the wall and then the outer cabinet has to be removed to get to the bulb. Do not do this with the unit plugged in and do not do this if u don't know how to work on a microwave as there is a shock hazard.

Usually this is due to your diodes going bad. I recommend replaceing the magnatron at the same time though.

It sounds like the keypad is worn out. The fact that you can get them to work sometimes by what direction you push on them, tells me that the contacts are not working correctly.

Did you have this problem prior to the fuse blowing or did it start after you replaced the fuse?

I don't believe the fuse blowing is related to the keypad problem. I also don't believe that you have a microprocessor problem because you say that the function buttons work but the number keys don't work right. If the microprocessor was faulty, it would not be able to read any of the keys.

The fact that the number keys are not working doesn't surprise me. When you go to cook something, you will press the number keys several times, while only pressing start or stop once. This is why your number keys have worn out first. These keys have a limited number of cycles (presses) and it sounds like its time for a new keypad.

Try to unplug the micowave and let it stay unplugged for 10 -15 minutes. Plug it back in after 10-15 mins and see if it resets the error message.
