Or try manually turning the focusing lens in the tv. you can reach it by removing the front of tv or pop off the ports on the sides of tv and reach your arm in there.

Picture is blurry after replacement the bulb.

Pull the bulb back out, check the lens, do not touch the glass if it has a smudge on it at all that is whats making the pic blurry, you also want to check the port with the bulb out, it may have dust in it, if so clean out the port before replacing the bulb, I am sure you know this but make sure the tv is unplugged

Sony rear projestion TV has blurry picture.

sounds as if your convergence needs to be set. either through the menu on the tv or remote you need to get to the convergence set screen and you need to line up the crosshairs. this usually happens when the tv is moved or bumped.

Picture very blurry with lines going accross screen

hi gud day! your problem has a solution. Just try to fix your tv from blurry picture. Pull the socket at hte back of the picture tube. remove the socket from pcb(printed circuit board) de solder the pins. then after that, if you see a 2 metal formed like a small mountain facing each other, try to clean those remove the rust (green color) using sander or any material you can use, just avoid using oil on that bcause it is sparking. then try to install it again and try to turn on your tv. if still not working replace that socket with a new one. you can buy it at any electronic supply store. and re install then on it again.. surely it will fix your tv without expensive components.

be sure unplugging the tv from ac souce before disassimbling...

thanks,
janex

Red screen

It sounds as though your Picture tubes are getting weak or theres a bad capacitor in the screen drive circuit. The only way to tell would be to call in a tech to diagnose this problem with his test equipment. A tv set is not a place for an unexperienced person to play with. Good Luck
