SOURCE: 3 computers connected, can't connect ipad and wii
I remember having had problems to connect my son's Wii console to our router. After many tries and errors, I set the router's encryption method to WPA-PSK/TKIP with pasword update cycles disabled (In my case 'Group Key Update Period' set to 0 (zero)), and, since then, the Wii connects to our router whenever we want it to.
You could try to set yours this way to see how it goes.
Just my 2 cents...

I think the problem is that your router has a firewall that your iPad can't get through.
You could try going to D-Link's web site and find directions to allow your iPad to access the internet.
=) hope this helps

usually with the IPAD. You need to put the correct settings into the wireless connection settings.
You wll need your SSID (the name your router shows up as when you search for wireless connections)
Your security type ( WEP or WPA/WPA2)
your wifi password.
I have connected many IPADS, as long as you have the correct details it should work
Are you setting the correct security type?
