The amp will reset when you cut the power off to it. Disconect bat for 30 sec and reconect. But to be honist with u if the wire jumped out and grounded some how during a high level, there is probley internal damage done.

SOURCE: my mrv f345 amp reads

That error appears usually when the speakers (especially subs) aren't getting the current they need from the system. Check your wiring and make sure you're using the appropriate gauge wire. Too small of a gauge in wire can cause this.

Dell 1545 laptop with white LED screen on start up. Works fine when connected to external screen via vga connector. Everything else works ok. Broken & remade connections between mobo & screen = no...

If the display works fine when connected to external screen via VGA connector then then the problem is either with the LCD display panel ( which consists of the display panel and inverter ) or the LCD cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard. You could try to re-seat the cable connection on the back of the LCD panel.

I have an alpine mrd-m1001 getting curr message ho do you reset the amp

Hello deeprajm,

Shorted or low impedance outputs can cause the "CUR" display. Power down everything and remove the speaker wires. If it will then power up without the display, the problem is probably a short in the speaker wire or voice coil, or the impedance load is too low. If there are multiple subs, reconnect them one at a time to isolate the bad one and then correct the problem. If the amp works properly with either of the subs but not both, rewire the subs for a higher final impedance.

If the amp still displays "CUR" with the speakers disconnected, there's most likely an internal fault that requires component level repair.

Hope this helps.

How do you get it out of cur mode

Hello whatup_132,

If the M605 fails and displays "CUR", it means that there is excessive current to the amp.

The most common causes for excessive current draw is operating the amp into a lower impedance than it is rated to handle, shorted speaker voice coil(s), and/or shorted or grounded speaker wires.

The amp can operate into a load no lower than 2ohms. First power everything off and disconnect the positive amp power lead temporarily (easist way is to just pull the fuse). At this point you should ONLY have the ground and remote connected. Reconnect positive (insert fuse) and turn on the vehicle ignition and your head unit. If the amp still displays the "CUR" error, the output MOSFET's are probably defective and the amp requires repair or replacement. If it powers up normally, reconnect the speaker wires until you locate the faulty one, and then correct whatever is causing it.

Hope this helps.

CUR display

Hello yte1771,

You can download the manual from Crutchfield.

The "CUR" display is an indication of excessive current and is most likely caused by too low impedance or a fault in the wiring or the amp itself. It's probably not your cap.

Hope this helps.

Alpine v12 amp displays CUR and cuts itself out when i turn up the volume????

I'm not specifically familiar with that model but I'm pretty sure the"CUR" is indicating under current or not enough current. what's happening is your amp is under load and doesn't have enough power so it shuts down rather than smoke. I would suggest you run heavier cable from the battery to the amp and add a giant cap so that when the amp surges the cap will compensate for the sudden draw. This is not a cheap fix but if you install heavy duty power cable and a quality giant capacitor (2 farad) you will be able to push the amp until your speakers catch fire and your amp will be fine.

CUR showing on the display

Have you measured the DC resistance of the woofer to determine if it's OK? You will need to disconnect it from the amp. Check each voice coil individually.

If you disconnect both speaker wires from the amp, does it still show an overcurrent condition?
