My liftmaster 1250LM won't operate with the remote (or my travel link in the other car) while the unit light is lit. So when I open the door from the remote and back out I have to wait two minutes for the light to go out before I can use the remote to close the door. The wall mounted buttons are fine and work all the time. If I could just set the light to go out much sooner I would be happy. I should add that the wall mounted control is an aftermarket unit that will automatically shut the door after fifteen minutes unless you set the override button. I love that feature and don't want to get rid of that. It's saved me more than once. Thanks for any help you can offer. Larry

On the end of your opener where the small gray antenna is you will find an LED that flashes rapidly when you use your remote. When you release your remote it should stop flashing rapidly and just occasionally flash. See if this continues to flash rapidly while the bulb is on and your remotes are inoperative. If it does, remove the bulb and do the same thing. I have a feeling your light bulb is radiating.

My liftmaster garage door opener will open the garage door but won't close it from the wireless remote in my car. what could be the problem

Check your door sensors. Make sure they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering ever so slightly. Tweak them a bit. If you cannot get both lights to light you have bad sensors.

I have a liftmaster keypad and remote and my code all of a sudden won't work.....additional question...i have an apollo gate that the lift master is wired to ... how do i set up the remote to open the...

My first inclination is that your keypad and remote have been removed from the Logic board memory.
If you have the Opener's instruction manual, then go to the programming section for how to re-program your keypad and remote.
If you do not have your manual then you can go to the Liftmaster website and download / view the manual for your particular unit. You will need the model number for your unit. That can be found near the light fixture on the unit (if you have two light fixtures, then look for a data sticker that indicates Model number and Serial number. You may have to remove or lift the light cover in order to find it.)
This is the link to the Liftmaster website: http://www.liftmaster.com/consumerweb/service/manuals/instructionmanualslanding.htm
To answer your second question, I will need to know what model of gate opener you have, and also need to know if there is a separate Receiver box unit or not. Most Gate operators will have the receiver unit built into them. Some however do not, and an external one will be wired to the gate motor unit, and possibly mounted to a wall near the gate motor. question: do you use the same remote for the gate that you use for the Garage door opener or do you have a separate remote for each? If you do, I need the model number on the remote for the gate operator. That will tell me what kind of tx/rx you have and possibly where to locate the learn button.

I need to change to code for a model 1250lm

If you are trying to change the code for the hand remotes you can't.

If you want to change the code for the wireless keypad do this:

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit. Press and immediately this and then walk over to your keypad and key in any 4 digit code and press enter.

Liftmaster garage door openers Model # 3245 (remote Issue)

it is possible that when you programmed the car remotes you erased the pairing between your hand held remotes and the unit. Follow the instructions to pair the remotes again and you should be good to go.

Liftmaster Professional and Clicker Programming Problems

The Security+ system is a rolling code system and is digital, so it will work with the Homelink in vehicles and with the remote control units that come with the opener. Also with new remotes that are purchased specifically for that opener. Your "clickers" require specific instructions and you need to use the Smart Learn function in order to use them with this opener. In addition, check the Brand Switch settings to be sure they apply to your opener, and the correct Smart Button color on the opener. Read carefully to determine whether you need to set ANY dip switches at all or can you just set them all to off depending on your opener? Check the instructions carefully. Here's a link to the page where you can download a copy of the Clicker instructions if you don't already have it:

The wall button has a green light that is blinking and the car remote will not operate the garage door but the wall button works

this just happened to us today as well. the wall pad has three buttons: one large back-lit button pad to open it and a lock button and a light button. the open button was blinking quickly and would open the door, but the car remotes did not work. I found that by pushing both the "lock" and "light" button at the same time for about 3 or 4 seconds, the back-lit "open" pad stopped blinking and went to steady green. I went back to the cars and checked the remotes there. both opened the door.

hope this helps someone out there
