Destroyed is a pretty heavy word ... if it is destroyed ... there is no hope. You are begging for hope where there evidently is none, since you say it is destroyed.

If you are over-embellishing ... I would suggest the informaiton you need is probably on the hard drive of your computer and/or can be downloaded along with the detailed instructions are to be found at www.sony.com/support

How do you get there with a destroyed computer ... well you posted here didnt you? Get the data you require, make your own CD and follow the instructions.

Greetings,
I found one website from where you can purchase the recovery CD. The cost would be around $34.
Here is the link to the website: http://pcrecoveryshop.com/
Once you enter the website there are two drop down menus on the website. Select your model name i.e. VGN-FE770G and it would show the price of the recovery CD.

If you can get a windows CD either by buying new or second hand, you'll still need the Sony drivers for your laptop. You'll have to go to the Sony website follow links for support and downloads, you should get them there.

If you don't want to pay for a new operating system you could download Ubuntu. Is a free operating system. Just Google Ubuntu.

Recovery disk for presario cq58-150SL windows 7 home premium

You may not need recovery discs to recover the software on your computer. HP provides a recovery solution on a separate area of the hard drive. If the hard drive is still functional, you can still perform an HP system recovery from the hard drive as long as the recovery information has not been destroyed or corrupted.
To do a software recovery from the hard drive, turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key until "Windows is loading files..." displays on the screen. If your computer originally came with Windows XP or earlier, press F10 to enter recovery instead of F11.

Bootmgr doesnt work on my toshiba

If by boot mgr you understand the boot menu ..for to select the recovery or boot from disk ,,,it may need to go to bios settinsg by pressing F2 on start and in there look for the HOT KEYS .. and enable the f12 key or f11 after case..
If you are referring to a missing boot file ...and this massage is displayed when you try to ope (boot ) the computer ..it means the boot sequence is corrupted and you need to run the recovery partition or disk ..or reinstall the operation system from a boot-able disk ..
to do so ..go to bios and set the first boot device to be the cd /dvd ..save with F10 and restart with the disk inside..and press any key for to boot from cd ..
For recovery partition just press F12 on start and select the recovery partition for boot device ..or F11 if it has a direct recovery start by this key ..
follow the procedure and choose by the case repair or complete system installing ..
In second case you may loose data in the C drive ..including programs you have installed manually and were not installed by the manufacturer..
so ..if you want the files choose repair ..(either from recovery or from disk )
the command on repair if asked ..is fixboot ..(after you choose the hdd0 /windows)

Laptop cannot run windows ,keeps trying to run but keeps returning to start windows or goto safe mode or start from most recent workable point. says some file missing or corupt and cannot load hive file?

Hi,

This means that your laptop operating system is corrupt you will need to restore it using the recovery console on your laptop. You should be able to access this by pressing the F11 key when you power on your laptop from the post screen. Some laptops use the ALT and F10 together ie. acer and packard bell. But most use F11. If you laptop will not recover using the recovery console you will need to replace your HDD (Hard Disk Drive).

Hope this helps if you need more help just ask.

How do i restore my c650 back to factory settings as i cant access my desktop because i changed my windows password and forgot it

Hi

If you want to use the recovery disk to reset all to Factory settings, you need to press either F10 or F11 when you start the Laptop.

Switch laptop on and start pressing F10 once every 2 seconds till you see the recovery starts. Then follow the recovery wizard.

If F10 does not work try the "F" keys usually the F8 takes you to safe mode options and F12 to the Bios setup.

Hope this helps

How to restore fatory settings without the cd acer aspire 5740g windows 7 home premium windows is not booting n auto recovery that is alt+f10 is also not working but the recovery partition still exist

For all Acer Netbooks try to initiate the recovery using Altgr key (righthand side of the space bar) and F10, ie Altgr+F10 as soon as the computer restarts. If the recovery partion is corrupted or do not have the CD. Try the below steps:
No Restore CD / eRecovery / password / ALT + F10 or F10
1 - Recovery of data on the hidden partition PQSERVICE for password
A - Installing the software R-Drive Image to create an image of this partition (this file has the extension. ARC)
B - Always with this software, create a virtual disk logic to see the files
C - From the desktop, go to the newly created virtual disk and find the file aimdrs.dat. The open with the notepad and get the password.
2 - Reactivating the ALT + F10
A - Always on the virtual disk created, find 2 files: mbrwrwin.exe and rtmbr.bin.
B - Copy these 2 files on drive C: \
C - Since the MS-DOS (Pocket PC) to C: \, type the following command: mbrwrwin install rtmbr.bin
D - The function has been reactivated.
3 - Start of Restoration
A - At the start of the PC, go to the set-up to check if the function is well on D2D enabled (normally it is a default setting ... but hey you never know.)
B - Once the audit and that the PC has restarted once the ACER logo appears, simultaneously press ALT + F10 to start the restore utility.
C - When it asks for the password, you need to type one found in the file aimdrs.dat. CAUTION: The keyboard is QWERTY mode so we thought enter his password, but as some letters are reversed, it does not work.
4 - Normally at this stage there ... everything works and restoration is smooth.
Note: If the operating system does not work, it is possible to do this from another PC by connecting the hard drive or USB slave
i found this helped me with exactly the same problem you have on the 7540g aspire laptop use the ALTGR on the right hand side of keyboard not the ALT on the left hand side of the keyboard along with F10 i tried it with just the ALT on the left side nothing happened but when used ALTGR on right side it woeked and reset everything back to factory settings then went to acer site and downloaded missing drivers hope this helps you out

By default your computer has a recovery partition, which can be accessed by hitting F11 key as soon as you start the computer, Keep tapping the F11 key and you will be able to access the Recovery manager, Select the option to do a system recovery and it will get restored to original factory condition.

Note: you can only access the recovery partition if you have not made any changes to the Original Operating system and the Hard Drive.
