Frigidaire Gallery Series washer starts, then stops cycle

When I start (any cycle) our Frigidaire Gallery Series GLTF2940ES front loading washer, the machine runs for 1 second (water comes in in wash cycles or drains in drain/spin cycle) and then the function stops. The machine continues to make a low humming noise, the clock will go down one minute, but does not change after extended times. Your advice would be appreciated.

SOURCE: I have a Frigidaire Gallery front load washer with E10 error code

When ours does that it is because of the hard water build up. We have to un-hook the hot water clean out the minerals and it stops doing it.

SOURCE: Frigidaire GLTF2940ES stopped with Error

Onthejob5130 is right, the machine use E23 too tell you that the pump is obstructed.
before buying anythings, you have too check the manual too see if you didn't put it in factory test mode by accident. the manual is suppose to be under the top,(two screws on the back)
After that, second thing you have too do, remove the back (six screws) the drain pump is located under the the baril. there is a black rubber tube attached to it. In this tube, there is a basket that keed hard thing away from the pump. In my case, some hair pin pass the basket and block the pump rotor. The computer of the machine told me it was Error E23 but after cleaning, everything work like new!!

So try cleaning it yourself, it is easy even with basic skill. You will need a star screwdriver, a scare-screw driver, pliers.

Remember, better have the machine empty before doing anything, because you'll be working on the DRAIN LINE.

Hope that help someone.

Frigidaire Gallery Series # GLTF 2940FS The washer stopped running in mid rinse cycle. When I try to start it a clicking sound occurs.

You will need to check the drain pump and make sure there is nothing obstructing or restricting the flow of water.Once you know that is clear and the problem returns then you might have to change the main control board and possible the door lock.Also make sure to check the motor and all the wiring the motor.

Frigidaire washer {gallery series}

Close your inlet valve at the wall. Unscrew your washer hose to examine any blockage in the small filter screens; clean out thoroughly and refit carefully, check for any water leak on opening the valve fully. If you have 2 inlets for the machine it would be good to get an F or Y adaptor.
