Unplug the tv for 1 minute, plug it back in this works 1% of the time. If the tv still does not turn on and the menu doesn't come up then the tv will need to be serviced.

Try following the steps below. Step 1 Press the power button once. If the TV does not turn on, observe the LED indicator, usually located on the TV's lower front panel. If the LED indicator turned off after you pressed the power button once, it is in standby mode. Press the power button once again to exit standby and turn on the TV.

This will scan the codes used for a particular make of TV.
I have a Mintek DTV265 which is almost the same TV the red light don't blink it stays on as long as the Power button is on. Try turning on the TV by pressing any of the buttons on the side of the TV Channel up or down, Volume up or down , or source. If it comes on then your TV is alright. I had one of them jumbo universal remote controls and it actually had a code that worked on my TV.
The remote control will not operate the TV when the TV is in the OFF mode (No LED lit on front bezel). To change the mode from OFF to STANDBY or ON, press the POWER button on the side of the TV. Once the POWER button is pressed, the LED will change to either red to indicate STANDBY or green to indicate ON, whichever mode the TV was in prior to being turned off with the TV POWER button.

Please check batteries in remote that seems not working. Sony TV would either turns On or standby light will blinks if TV gets any internal problem. You question shows standby light stays On that means TV does not receive power on command from remote. I have the same problem, my Bush LCD worked fine last night but won't turn on today. The main power button on the TV puts it onto standby but the remote or the buttons on the side won't turn it on!....HELP!
