If this is a new installation of Windows 7 and you have never used the printer on this installation, you will need to install the printer from scratch. If you have the installation disc that came with the printer, pop that into your computer and follow the installation steps. If you do not have that disc, you can look up your specific printer model and download the driver to your computer. Then use the Add Printer Wizard in Windows 7 to search for printers, and if yours is powered on (and both the computer and the printer are connected to your network) it should see it, and then tell it where you saved the driver.
Asumminig your Computer is Win2000/XP/Vista
Have the printer powered up but not connected to the computer.
Go to START/Printers and Faxes/Install new printer.
When CD or list comes up select LIST
Select Make- EPSON
Select Model D78
Click OK
