Hello there There's no cold waterSome
washing machines allow cold water to enter only during certain cycles.
Others intermittently allow hot and cold to enter, to temper the
temperature of the water. Consult your owner's manual if you are unsure
about whether the machine is acting abnormally. If you're sure the machine is not working the way it used to--or should--check the following. Is the cold water turned on? If not, turn it on.Is the washer getting hot water but no cold water? If so, check to see if the control panel settings are correct. Is
there cold water coming through the proper hose? If not, check to see
if the screen inside the water-inlet valve is clean. (The water-inlet
valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are
attached to.) If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet
valve. If so, you need to replace the valve. It should look something like this picture below
Hi, Either the elements have blown, or it could be a device called a thermal overload which has popped. (There may also be a loose wire which connects to the heating elements). Have your drier checked out by a good handyman or technician. Best wishes, Graemevm
it sounds like the hot water supply hose on the back inlet water valve is not opening up,to check it switch the hoses, cold on hot,and hot on cold, put the washer on fill cold,if hot water comes out you know it's the water valve-mike
Try cycling a cold/cold wash and see how that comes out.. if it comes out hot then your water inlet valve is letting hot water in when it shouldn't.. conversely, try cycling a hot/hot wash and see that it does indeed come out hot... ( quick tests to verify performance)..hope this helps.
I once had this problem. The solution was to remove the hot water hose connection to the washer and look at the filter/screen inserted into the end of the hose connection on the washer machine. This screen protects the washer components from foreign particles entering. You may find a badly-clogged screen, so clean it. I have seen a cold water screen clean, while the hot water screen was clogged...something to do with hot water and minerals or iron in water.
