Our home has a Whirlpool Gold built-in convection oven. The home is @5 years old. We've lived here for one year. Today, the display had an error message (E6). After we cleared the error message, the display looked fine. Later in the day, the display went blank. We can hear the tones when we press buttons, but nothing appears. The light in the oven still works. The oven did not heat up when we pressed the bake - start - temp sequence. We're not sure of the exact model number, but it looked like this one.l Our owners manual is for GDB277, GDBS277... YGBS307. Do you have any suggestions?

Hello!
This blank display is a common control board problem. If the buttons beep when pressed, then the control board is getting adequate power. If the buttons beep.. and your oven light still turns on when the oven door is open.. this a text book control board failure. We at Fixyourboard.com can solve this problem for you, and back the remanufacture with a two year warranty.

If you can gain access to the clock you could find the wires that goes to the bake element - if you can measure and confirm the resistance of the element chances you may have also fried the relay of the board - check it out

SOURCE: My whirlpool oven is displaying E6 and F2. It

Your cancel key is defective at this point. follow these steps below?

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

SOURCE: Oven display went blank. Has Power.

Hello, The first thing I'd look at is your owner's manual to insure the timer hasn't been set to "Sabbath" mode accidently. If that is the case you could experience a "no display" scenario. The manual will also explain how to enter/exit the "Sabbath" mode. In the event the timer itself is at fault ( i.e. the display transformer gone bad ) it will have to be replaced or (if an available option exist's for your timer) have your timer rebuilt. Hope that help's and please take a second and rate the info provided by me here at fixya. Thank you and good luck. macmarkus :)

SOURCE: Whirlpool electric double oven #RBD305PDQ14 control panel blank

The control panel part on my Whirlpool double oven (part #8302319) went blank six months back. Replaced it. Asked if there was a warranty on the part, was told no there was not. Yesterday, the six month old control panel went blank. Disappointed that Whirlpool manufactures such garbage.

We installed kitchen aid microwave convection oven model kems308. it is displaying error code F6E0, "Lost communication". Any idea on how to fix?

Turn the power to the oven off. It usually is not possible to unplug the power chord for the built-in appliances so go to the main switch board and just turn off the oven power for about 5 minutes and then turn on the switch. The error code should disappear. Mine did!

Jenn-Air Convection Wall Oven, WW2780

I your user Manuel should be a list of error codes describing what each error code indicates!

How old is the appliance?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!

You will be fine
