Door sensor problem on juki 655

I just got a new Juki 655 serger from Amazon. I have to hold the door closed while pushing the pedal for it to work. I know it has a safety door sensor. It is not connecting enough.

SOURCE: good diagram showing how to thread a 4 thread Juki

You can download a free threading guide here - http://www.sewusa.com/Threading_Diagrams/Threading_Pages/Juki_Sewing_machine_threading/Juki_MO_644_Threading_Diagram.htm

The same site also sells manuals.

Threading Tips:

Have the thread antenna at it's highest position.

Set the tensions to zero.

Have the presser foot up while threading.

When you thread a serger for the first time, or if you are having a threading problem, use a different color thread for each guide. This can quickly indicate where the problem lies.

Once the stitch is satisfactory, change to the color you prefer - but this way is the easiest - cut the thread near the thread cone and tie off with the new thread. With the tensions at zero, slowing run the serger until the new thread appears. You will need to stop as the knots approach the needles and thread them by hand.

Do the tie-off before running out of thread and this will save a lot of time and stress.

I need to know how to setting the looper timing on my Juki MO-655 serger. I don't have time to chase down a repair guy. Costume rush job.

Search the internet. There are web sites and videos that show machine timing, although adjusting a serger may a bit more challenging.

I need replace thread holder for Juki MO-644D serger

Good luck. I found a replacement part for one of mine on Ebay. Just search for Used Juki Serger for parts. Maybe you'll find a 644D for cheap enough that you can scavenge parts for a few more years.

Make sure you are threading the machine correctly. Make sure you are using serger thread that isn't old. Make sure you are undoing all the threads when it breaks and thread it from the beginning.

Make sure you have the right needles in their respective places. My Juki MO has two different size needles.

How to thread a juki serger sewing machine. i need a large diagram of how to do it. thank you

do you know what model Juki it is? Is it a serger or a sewing machine? Juki do industrial straight, serger and specialised machines such as coverstitch and blind hemmers as well as domestic sewing machines and sergers so there is a big range of machines.

There are manuals at this site for http://jukihome.com/products/mo644d.html various models of Juki Home sergers, but you will need to hunt through and find your model.

The manual is on the "features" tab for each model so just dig down a bit to locate the pdf file in there.

I hope this is what you were searching for.

Go back to the seller. If it was listed as new and does not work, the seller should either repair, replace, or refund. Note--you may need to get eBay involved in case the seller refuses to address the issue. EBay will refund your money and reverse the charge to the seller.

I have a Juki MO-655. I just threaded the machine, plugged it in and when I turn it on the light comes on but the motor doesn't start when I press the foot control. I have all the doors on the machine...

I also have the Juki M)-655. Look at the power button; it should have 3 positions. First position turns the power switch Off, second position turns the power switch on and it will sew, third position turns on both the power switch and the sewing light. Several times I have thought I turned on the power switch to sew only to realize it was not in the second position. Hope this helps.

Need instructions for threading Juki MO 3314

Open the font of the serger and the instructions will be printed on the serger or on the door.

Raise the presser foot and set the tensions to zero when threading.

Turn the hand wheel so the upper looper (curved one) is at it's highest point and thread it first, and then the lower looper.

With some sergers you must thread in a certain sequence. This should be indicated in the instructions on the serger.

Set the tensions back to normal ( 4 - 6), lower the presser foot and run a length of stitching to see if the threads are knitted together as they should before you start serging your project.

How do I time a Juki 5550? Never done it before,

Having the suggested hook position from the manual is very desirable. Can be easy. Loosen screws holding hook assembly in place. Position needle on upstroke and position the hook just above the eye of the needle then tighten the screws on the hook. Should be close. Call Juki and they will email a tech manual to you. Good luck.
