Bios password reset pp22l

Hi

To reset your BIOS password means removing your case so if your not happy doing this take it to your local PC repair shop but if you want to do it yourself here is how

Remove the battery from the laptop and then remove the case, once you can access the mainboard locate the BIOS battery remove this and leave it out for a good 3 - 5 mins then replace. this should clear the BIOS and remove your password, there may also be a jumper on the mainboard if you jump this it will clear the BIOS without having to remove the battery, once put back together your password will have gone and you can access your BIOS again

How can i remove advent ert2250 bios password

Hello there,
To remove the bios password from you advent laptop, Power off the computer and make sure that it is unplugged. Open up your computer case. You need physical access to the motherboard to complete this procedure. Find a circular, (mostly) silver metallic object on the motherboard. This is the CMOS battery. CAREFULLY remove the CMOS battery and leave it out for about 120 seconds then put a piece of wire or metal between the battery contacts. This will remove the bios password stored.. This will flush the CMOS memory which stores the BIOS password and all other configuration. (See Warnings) Set the battery back into place and power on the computer. The computer should then warn you that the CMOS configuration could not be found. You can either reconfigure it yourself or restore defaults. Restoring the default configuration should be fine. You will notice that the BIOS password has been cleared and you can boot without it. You may reset the BIOS password to something else by going into the BIOS configuration and setting a new User Password (The Supervisor Password controls access to the BIOS, NOT the computer!)
All the best. Elect_Comp

Bios password removel of Dell Optiplex GX280

If you don't know the BIOS password, and need to access it - you'll have to unplug the AC power then open the case and remove the lithium "coin" or "button" battery from the motherboard. Wait 5 - 10 minutes (allows the capacitors to discharge) and replace the battery. This will RESET all BIOS values to default.

Restore AC power reboot. Enter the BIOS and change the values as desired. To access the BIOS, Press the F2 function key repeatedly during boot sequence. You may need to plug the USB keyboard into a different USB port if it doesn't let you in to the BIOS page.

I hope this helps & good luck! Please rate my reply - thank you.

Password bios toshiba 4000cdt

If you've forgotten your BIOS password, or if someone has changed the password on your Toshiba laptop without your permission, then there are a couple things that you can do to reset the password and access your computer.

Reset the CMOS

· The CMOS is, in basic terms, the part of the motherboard that stores the BIOS settings. To remove the BIOS password from your Toshiba laptop, your best option is to forcibly clear the CMOS.

To clear the CMOS, you must remove the battery from your laptop and leave it out for at least 30 minutes to an hour. The way to remove the battery from your Toshiba will largely depend on the model. A common way to remove the battery--particularly with newer models--is to release the battery lock on the bottom of the laptop, while sliding the accompanying tab over to the side. This will pop the battery out from its tray so that you can then pull it out all of the way out.

Before you remove the battery, turn off the laptop and remove the AC adapter. Otherwise, you could end up harming yourself or the laptop components. You must also ground yourself to prevent damaging the laptop with static electricity.

After about a half an hour or more, return the battery back to its tray and lock it into place. Power on the laptop. The computer, ideally, should no longer ask you for a BIOS password.

It's important to keep in mind that resetting the CMOS means that all of your BIOS settings will be reset to factory default. Also, sometimes you may need to leave out the battery for much longer than an hour to reset the password

Use a Backdoor Password

· If resetting the CMOS doesn't work, then your next bet is to try using a backdoor password. A backdoor password is basically a password that manufacturers include with the BIOS so that technicians can access the computers that people send in for repair. An example of a Toshiba backdoor password is, unsurprisingly, "Toshiba." When the BIOS prompts you to enter a password, entering "Toshiba" may allow you to access your PC and clear the old BIOS password. Another option is to hold the left "Shift" key down while booting.

Forget bios password on nec laptop versa

The BIOS password may be removed by removing the BIOS battery from the notebook for 20 mins. If you cannot wait for this period, then short out the battery contacts for a few secs.
Replace the BIOS battery and go to the BIOS configuration and set the Date & Time etc.
If this procedure does not work then try this WEB site for BIOS passwords :-

Hi,
Are you the one who set up the BIOS password? If not, unfortunately, there's no way for us to retrieved the password. The only way you can reset the password to default settings is to reseat the CMOS battery on the motherboard, its a circular thing that looks like a battery of a watch, sometimes a pin hold it, just detached it then wait for at least 30 minutes then connect it back again,
Note: Before you reseat the CMOS battery, make sure that everything is unplugged on the computer, like AC adapter, battery and all external devices...

Hope this will help...Your response is very much appreciated...

Bios default password

The BIOS default password is just blank, and it is not asked.

When you set a bios password, you are asked to enter a value, therefore if bios is asking the password, the password had been changed.

To reset the bios password if you do not know the password you need to access to motherboard and temporarily remove battery for few seconds.
Removing battery will reset bios and delete the password.
Unplug power cord before accessing the motherboard, and try not touching the motherboard with your finger.
Put battery back in place before restarting computer.

Bios

If you have lost your bios password, only way out of this is accessing the motherboard and resetting the cmos.
If you access the mothernboard you can reset the bios removing the little coin battery from motherboard for one minute.
There is also a 3 pins bridged contact, near to bios chip, if you move the contact on the other two pins it will do same as removing battery.
