Lexmark x2600 alignment page skip

How do you skip the "MUST ALIGN CARTRIDGES" window. It has no bypass, cancel or skip button. You absolutely must do it, but after printing 50 alignment pages i feel like throwing the printer out the window.
Looking for any modified/hacked drivers that only install the PRINTER DRIVER without installing LEXMARK SOFTWARE. Or at least some registry fixes, patches, etc.

Sorry for the trouble but what is the exact model number of your Lexmark printer? Does it print fine when making copies using the buttons on the printer only? If not, problem is on the printer's hardware or the cartridges. That would expain why it needs to align the cartridges. You probably need to reseat and clean the cartridges or replace them, if possible. If copying is working fine, then it's on the software. You will need to uninstall the software properly. To reinstall, I suggest you use the software you can download from the Lexmark website. What is the operating system of your computer?

I have this same problem and no solution! (I'm on a Lexmark 2400 and Windows XP.) The problem is how much ink it wastes on one alignment and NO BYPASS option - an ink cartridge is $25, we can't waste it on a USELESS test!!! They're trying to make money but let's not fall for it. We need a way to bypass the ****. Somebody heeelp.

The Lexmark x5495 printer is not printing correctly. The printout is not aligned properly. The printout is crooked. How can you solve this problem?

Try to re-seat your cartridges and make sure they are properly inserted in the cartridge carrier.
If that doesn't help, please do the Align Cartridges function on your printer. From the printer operator panel, while on Copy mode, press the Menu button > Tools > Maintenance > Align Cartridges. You printer will then print a test page that will help align the cartridges.
After the page is printed, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed. Thanks.

My lexmark x2600 keeps telling me i need to realign the cartridge but nothing is really wrong.. wont let me print anything but alignment test pages. How do i fix this

One of the utilities included with the Lexmark software will print a "test" page.
Then, you view the test page, and enter some numbers into the utility.
The utility uses those numbers to (ectronically) align the print-heads.

How can I reset my Lexmark x2600?

Usually, resetting the printer means turning it completely off and turning it back on. I would also suggest unplugging the machine for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in. Then, turn it back on, and it will run through a set of steps that will re-align the heads on the cartridges automatically. This will clean the ink residue from the cartridges and align the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black inks so that they can print effectively.

Hi, replaced ink cartridge on Lexmark X2470. Now it goes as far as the "print alignment page" and freezes. Will not print the alignment page or any other page for that matter. Thanks.

Hello. The ink cartridge may not be seated properly in the carrier. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Clean the nozzles using a damp paper towel. Unplug the printer from the power source. Plug it back in after 10-15 seconds. When the printer asks for the cartridges, reinsert the cartridges. Also, make sure you're using the compatible ink cartridges for the printer. Let it print the alignment page all the way without cancelling it to align the cartridges properly. Hope this helps.

My HP printer PSC 1510 All-in-One no longer asks me to align my ink cartridges after a change of cartridges. Now, after a system recovery, it prints an alignment page every time I turn it on, whereas...

The only way to stop this is to press the cancel button, just as it tries to print the test page.

Various people have said the printer won't align (calibrate) successfully unless both ink cartridges are more than 50% full, and until it aligns successfully, it will continue to print the test page on start-up.

It is a total waste of ink and paper, so remember to hit the cancel button when you turn it on.
