Hello, I would recomend You the two second hend refurbished iR 3300 Copier ( B&W ) or Ricoh AF 1045/2045 and color clc 3200 for color, for the beginning and if you want later take stronger 50ppm i.e. IR advance 6055 for B&W and IR ADVANCE C2030L.
in this order press additional functions, 2 and 8 simultaneously, additional functions. This takes you into service mode. Then press copier, function, clear, error, then ok. turn machine off with the side power switch and back on.
Try to clean corona wires, pick up, feed and separation rollers, check drum cleaning blade and fixing assy.If the tracks are white, check also the toner unit
Download the network scangear from the canon web site.
Install the scangear on all the computers you want to scan to.
On the scangear tool there is a discover icon,click that icon and wait till the ir 5000 is picked up by the network.Select the machine in the scangear tool.Now you will be able to scan to mirosoft word and exel like you normally do with a scanner.
If the scangear tool was unable to discover the machine,the network settings of the IR must be checked.

Is your copier a IR-5000 or a IR-550? It dose not really matter - the code means that the hard drive in the copier is not "Booting Up" correctly. Are you a service tech? If so, you can try to reseat the boot rom and clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol. After you turn the copier Off and then back On after you reinstall the boot rom. You can also try to do a HD chk in service mode. You will most likely have to replace the "HD" and have it "Flashed" to your copier configuration. Good Luck....
That error means that you have a problem with the drum motor. Check the it's connectors. Or maybe something keeping the motor from running, like an uptwisted blade with drum.
