50" Toshiba Plasma screen is flashing with flickering sound

My 50" Toshiba Plasma screen is flashing black/white little dots with flickering sound with no image what so ever. Any suggestion what might be the cause? how how to solve it? Thanks in advance .

    I replaced the y-sustaining board for the very same tv with exactly the same problems. It took me about an hour with a large and small phillips screwdriver. I got the board from discount merchants for 150 bucks. Some people on this forum paid 600-700 bucks to have a repair man to do it.

It sounds like the video output isn't
working its most likely a component
failure 1 thing you could try is connecting
a rca cables from video/audio out on the set to
another set vid/audio inputs to see if it the video gets
through.This is a problem that requires technical
knowledge and test equipment to trace the video

Display IC seems to have gone. It will be a replaceable module. Only you have to figure out which one it is. Such thing happen in electronics. Look for any burnt or bulged IC.
