Line one works perfectly. The last couple weeks, all calls coming in on line 2, which is the line we use daily, are total static, cutting in and out. They can hear me, but I can't understand anything and have to call them back on the other line. The other line is a fax line and we do not use it for incoming calls. I called AT and T and they said it wasn't the line.
Try connecting line 2 where 1 is connected. If there is no static it is youre system ie phone itself. If there is static there is definately a problem with youre line. Static can usually be attributed to old lines that the moisture barrier has been compramised. If the line is under youre house or in the walls you may have to pay for it. But if it is the companys line it is their issue.
