Ergorapido: light doesn't come on when vacuum is put on charge

It is new, I only got it yesterday. I put it on charge for about 15 hours, the light went off after a while : then I used it a couple of times, but the light doesn't go on now when I put it on the charger?? I've tried turning it on and off at the switch, makes no difference.

Thankyou, I did ring the shop it came from and they told me to take it to the repair shop, which I did - turns out the charger plug had shifted underneath and wasn't connected because I'd wound the cord too tight on the base...

**red face for me** Very happy to discover there was nothing wrong with it though!

If it is new, take it back and get a different one, either the charger or the battery is bad.

Where do I plug the charger at to an ergorapido by Electrolux

Which model do you have? The Ergorapido EL1014A has a charging station. On that model, the charging adapter plugs into the port on the bottom of the floor section of the charging station. This port is below the wall section of the charging station. For the Ergorapido Lithium Ion Plus 2 in 1 vacuum, EL2055B, the charger plugs into a port on the back of the main vacuum above the neck to the roller brush head. For a picture of the charging port location, see https://moderncastle.com/vacuum-cleaner-reviews/electrolux-ergorapido-vacuum-review/ . Scroll down to the Battery section to see the appropriate image.

I hope this helps. The manual for the EL1014A is much clearer about charging the vacuum.

My Electrolux Ergorapido Lithium item number on vacuum SNES321602000476 won't charge it shows a orange light for a second then nothing? Won't work?

Iy is either the charge or batteries, if you have a DMM or access to one test the charger by measuring output,
best solution is to change e batteries and charger, You can look in line amazon sell both, but may be less on eBay, Watch this link

Red light comes on after charging my ergorapido

I had the same problem. Red light would come on after charging was complete. On investigation I found that there is a small gray wire that runs from the rear batteries to a large solder spot on the control board. Upon re-soldering this wire I got an additional 3 V of power and the red light does not come on anymore after it is charged. I can vacuum the whole house and then some and still not run the batteries down.

I have a 2 year old Electrolux ergorapido cleaner that gets used daily for about 2/3 min, the blue light on the stand comes on when the cleaner is put on to charge but fades after about 5 min & the...

No, not worn out batteries.
For my experience, if the batteries were worn, they would charge with the blue led being on and after that, the vacuum wouldn't hold his charge. just that.
This is a different problem. Check the contacts between the charging station and the vacuum, mines got bent a bit and stopped making contact. This has happened twice and just fixed it about 30 min ago. That is why the led first lights and then goes off, there was just a brief contact between them.
Nice vacuum, very powerful and handy but maybe it is just poorly made as it is engineered in Sweden but built in China.
