If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

How to replace drive belt

Unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Remove the back panel.
Look for the "idler-wheel" -- it takes-up the "slack" between the drive-motor and the rotating tumbler.
Loosen it, to put enough "slack" in the drive-belt that the drive-belt can be removed.
Take the belt to a dryer-service store, and get them to match it.
Connect the new belt to the drive-motor and the tumbler.
Adjust the "idler-wheel" to take-up the slack.
Replace the back-panel.
Add power.

Engine runs well but put in gear at any of 6 speeds and it does not go. Notice that there is slack in belt and wonder if this is related to my problem.

Without the model number it is hard to be sure, but yes if the drive belt is slack, then that's a problem. If you have your manual it should indicate how to tension the drive belt (adjust clutch) You can look and be sure the belt is on all pullys.

Beater bar does not turn. Belt is not broken but is so slack that it won't turn the bar. Do I need a new belt or is there a way to adjust the tension?

No, once the belt is stretched and worn there is nothing you can do, you have to replace them. Here is the belts you need for your model:

Where do I loosen my belt that is runs A/C on 2000 Toyota Sienna?

One of those "wheels" or TENSIONER PULLYS on your vehicle is the tensioner for the a/c compressor. You will need to look at it and see if there is an adjustment bolt behind pully. If there is, loosen center pully nut, then run adjustment bolt out to slack out the belt. Replace belt and reverse prosedure. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN BELT,as you can damage pullys and or belt. Tighten to factory specs. Rule of thumb is pulling the belt out and check for slack. No more/less than one inch slack.

How do you adjust the belt for a Weslo Cadence 815 treadmill?

Hi, I don't have a manual on your particular treadmill but most all treadmills use the same type of belt tension and tracking, which is an allen screw adjustment on the rear tension bar. One on either side. You should have been provided an allen wrench with your treadmill, if not then use one of your own the proper size. Make the adjustment with the unit running at its slowest speed. Clockwise tightens the tension and will draw the belt. Good Luck, this should Fixya!
