Just brought a flat screen tv and put the wii on its gone on to black and white whats the problem?

is the scart cable in correctly?
is it damaged?
maybe the scart input faulty?

One thing you could try is a different cable between the wii and the TV, also if your TV has multiple spots to plug in you should try plugging in to a different spot.

This sounds like bad cables on the wii, If it only happens when you plug in the wii, and your tv is ok when you unplug it , it's the wii

hi, check the cable video , wii to pc tv, find another cable with a friend , familly or somthing like that and try , or test yor cable with another wii

mabye dumb answear did you choose right channel?
atleast at my tv in one channel my wii is black and white and a other one in color.

Hi, i bought a wii a few days ago and like everybody else mine too was in black and white with a grainy picture. I have a Panasonic lcd flat screen and thought I had connected it corrected, I got somebody out to have a look at it and found out there are some connections on the side of the TV which I hadn't even noticed before, once I put the red white and yellow leads in these and set the TV to AV3 everything is in perfect colour. Hope this works for some of you.

You have to option in LCD Source In-Put.All LCD Have this In-Put
Com posit-Yellow/Red/White (AV)
In LCD Select AV Mode After That Connect Yellow /Red/White as per color pin given in your LCD.
Component-Green/Blue/Red
If you have Component in put in your LCD than select from source component mode for Red/Blue/Green.

The Wii will work on the TV. Just try plugging into the ports labeled AV1 or AV2. The red, yellow, and white holes should line in a row with AV1 and AV2. After you have them plugged in, press the INPUT button on the TV or the remote to get to the AV1 or AV2. It should work after that. :)

You should plug the Wii into the AV1 or 2 on the LCD TV and make sure that the RCA plugs are pushed in all the way. Also make sure that you have the plugs properly inserted into the back of the Wii. If all is connected verify the settings on the TV's menue and make sure that they are all correct. You may also want to verify the settings on the Wii menu.
