There is either a bad remote sensor in the set or a system control problem. Both work with each other so it is hard to say. It will take a little troubleshooting to figure this one out. I would bet on the remote sensor being bad. Have a repair shop check it out. This should be an cheap repair. Thanks
I recently bought a used LCT2060 that had no remote. I figured my
comcast cable remote would work without a problem but it didn't. So 3
universal remotes later I found my solution...a radio shack
universal gamer remote. It controls up to 5 components plus your
xbox360, playstation and pc. The price on sale was a mere 12.97, not bad
if you ask me. Hope this helped. The code that worked for the Akai
was 11676. Take care...
To tell you the truth I can fix any electronics equipment. But in your case because the dog break the digital printed board inside. you need to buy a new remote. I have one original remote for akai lct42z6tm that can work on your tv. If you really want the exact one I can get it for you. My e-mail address [email protected]
Is it a multi-device remote at all?
This set is probably a rebranded Samsung so you might try their codes or check Samsung's website for a code listing for that model.
Hello drifter,The design of the tv enables the auto search to detect any input signal you have selected. It could be TV (off air, video signals etc) so just switch on whatever inputs to the akai plasma befote you switch the Akai plasma on and let it do the work for you. just relax and watch the tv.
recap
1. switch on the input eg video deck, DVD, VCD, or satellite dish.
2. switch on your AKAI PLASMA and
3. wait for the akai to search for your input signals. TRy this simple procedure and if it doesnt work just post back the message.
