I have a Fiji Finepix Z20fd camera, and have approx 350 photos on the memory. Yesterday the message "memory full" appeared when i tried to take a photo so naturally i attempted to delete a some to make more space. However, i could not access any of the pixs that had been saved and they are not on the internal memory. Have they been deleted?? A select few photo's (18) are still showing but they have not been protected or anything so I dont know why some have saved while the majority are missing?

Having pics on both the internal memory and a memory card is asking for trouble. Take out the card and download the internal memory to your computer. Then, go into the menu and find "format" and erase the internal memory. Then, download all the pics from the memory card using a separate card reader. Then, insert the card into the camera and do the format thing again to erase and optimize the card. Now you have a fresh start...never use the internal memory again.

Need to get a software disk for finepix z20fd were can I get one?

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My finepixZ20fd says ''images recorded to internal memeory'' and won't transfer the photos to the computer when the USB is connected.

The message "images recorded to internal memory'' is just a warning, that there is no memory card in the camera. It doen't necessarily mean that there are any images saved in the internal memory.
The message should rather have been "images will be recorded to the internal memory"

Memory card not working? ( fuji finepix Z20fd Digital Camera)

Hi there.

When you start using a memory card, you must format the card in the camera first...using the camera menu. If you don't the camera won't read the card properly. Try that and I bet it will work for you.
