I want to turn my TV onto high definition for gaming. How do I do that. I have looked in the menu but cant see an option for the high definition. I just bought a Teac LEV32A1HD. Cheers.

Well, that depends on what you are using for your gaming. If you are using something like a Nintendo 3DS, a PS4, an Xbox One, an Xbox 360, or a PS3 there should be RCA connectors (3 - red, white, and yellow) or on the higher end consoles even an HDMI port, simply plug the cables into the corresponding female connectors on the console and on the back of your TEAC. If you have an HDMI output on your console, get an HDMI cable and plug that in (your TEAC has 3HDMI ports).
Once you have done this, take the TV remote and click "Setup." This will take you to the "Source" screen. In the 3rd section down, you should see HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, and PC. The choice you make here depends on which HDMI port you used for gaming. Choose that one and click the "OK" button on your remote. If you hooked it up correctly, you should see something on the screen relating to your gaming console. If you do, then start playing your game!
If you don't want to or can't use the HDMI ports, your other option is to use the RCA ports. These are colored, usually, red, white, and a third color. Plug the red and white connectors into the corresponding connectors and place the last color (yellow, green, etc.) into the last connector. Follow the above Setup procedure except for choosing the Input. In this case, I believe you should choose the YPbPr input.
If you are using a computer for gaming, you must use an HDMI port. The Setup procedure is the same for setting up a gaming console.
Happy gaming!

Connect gaming chair to xbox 360 ?????

The best way is to just connect your gaming chair directly to your TV, from the TV's audio out to the input of the gaming chair using a regular red and white audio cable. Then anything you plug into the TV will also be heard through the gaming chair speakers (including your Xbox 360. Of course you can also connect it directly to the Xbox if you prefer. Here is a detailed explanation of how to do both of these things with step-by-step instructions and pictures: http://www.gamingchair.com/how-to-connect-a-gaming-chair-to-an-xbox-360-with-hd-video-with-an-hdmi-cable

Setting up wii for netflix

Netflix Instant is available for streaming on your Wii gaming console by early spring 2010. If you have a Netflix subscription you can watch movies and episodes easily on your TV through your Wii console. This article will detail the important things you will need to make sure that you can watch Netflix from the Wii.
Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need

  • Netflix subscription
  • Nintendo Wii gaming console
  • Broadband internet
    • 1 Check you Netflix subscription. The minimum subscription plan to watch Netflix instantly is the unlimited 1 DVD at a time plan or otherwise the $8.99 plan. This plan allows to watch movies instantly with unlimited monthly hours.
    • 2 Check internet bandwidth on your broadband connection. According to Netflix the minimum bandwidth requirement is 1.5Mbps. Netflix recommends for watching movies instantly a 3.0Mbps connection. Check with your internet service provider to confirm that these download speeds.
    • 3 A wired connection to your Wii console. An ethernet connection to your Wii console would be preferable. Unfortunately the Wii console does not have an ethernet port but a USB port. A USB LAN Adapter can be found at most computer supply merchants or online from Wii or Amazon.com. The ethernet connection is an ethernet wire from your home LAN router connected to your USB LAN adapter. The USB LAN adapter is then connected to the USB port on the Wii console. This connection will be how Netflix provides the movie streaming feed to the Wii.
    • 4 Sign up at the Netflix website for the Streaming Disc. Netflix will send a specially programmed disc to setup the Wii for watching the movies. When the disc arrives Netflix will provide instructions on how to install onto the Wii gaming console.

What would make the t.v have lines running horizontal and not give you a picture

It could be any number of things. Try to use systematic diagnostics to trace where the fault lies. Start at input end of system to find out which bits work and which don't.
  1. Do you get a picture using a video recorder, dvd player, gaming console? If yes the problem is with your tv signal.
  2. Connect a different tv to your antenna / satelite dish /- can you get an analogue picture? If no the antenna (aerial) may be faulty
  3. Does the satelite receiver / digital terrestrial (e.g Freeview) receiver give you a picture on a different tv? If yes it could be either a technical fault with your tv or it needs retuning to the correct stations (enter setup menu and reinstall stations as per user instruction manual)
