I have the same compressor with the same problem. I have temporarily eliminated the thermal reset with a piece of 12 gauge hard wire and it runs just fine. However, I do want to replace it before the warm weather come to the north. I tested the draw at 15.5 amps and the reset was a 17 amp. I am told by someone with superior electrical background that I need to install a 20 amp thermal reset in it's place. I have found that mine runs best when plugged directly into a 20 amp circuit and when using an extention cord I have a 10 guage cord that will carry the load needed to run the EC12. I also have changed to 100% synthetic oil.

Circuit breaker trips after water supply cycle

check the condensor fan in the compressor area and make sure its running if not the compressor will overheat causing high head pressures on the compressor causing it to draw too much current to operate the compressor and kick the breaker out, also make sure the condenser coils there are clean and it has ample air movement away from the wall

Hi,I have a travel trailer 37ft. Problem with my ac, the fan starts good but my compressor does not kick on. My next door neighbour says it's the compressor that is done. Could you help me?

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Motor Trouble Cause Diagnostic Procedure Repair Procedure Electrical Power is Off Check that all service switches for the equipment are in the "on" position.
Check for voltage at the pump motor or pump controls. If no voltage is found, check for voltage at the electric panel.
If power is on to the building, check fuse or circuit breaker serving the electric motor that won't run.
Check for local reset button on the motor (popped out = off )
Check for other power reset or power off buttons such as an access door compartment safety switch that turns off power to the equipment (found on A/C blower compartment doors)
Turn on "off" switches.
Replace bad fuse. Reset circuit breaker; if necessary replace bad circuit breaker.
Let hot electric motor cool down, then push in its reset button.
Be sure all safety interlock switches such as on compartment doors are depressed and that the doors are securely shut. Replace a bad safety switch.

Blown fuse, tripped breaker Replace fuse or breaker - does the pump run and keep running normally? Be sure proper breaker or fuse size in ampacity is installed - ELECTRIC PANEL INSPECTION Low voltage to the motor Check with VOM at the pressure control switch or at the motor wiring Be sure the proper size of wire is used for the ampacity and length of circuit; Test for low voltage to the building. Loose, improper, or broken motor wire Check wiring against the motor installation manual diagram, check all connections for tightness, shorts, burns, damage Rewire or repair or replace wWhen a sealed compressor motor has "burned out" this means that the internal wiring of the motor has become irreparably damaged: the compressor motor windings may be burned and shorted together or shorted to the steel shell of the motor, or the windings may have burned and simply become "open" or disconnected. If the motor has burned out in either of these ways it needs to be replaced.

AC runs for 5 minutes and then circuit breaker

What else do you have running on hydro while AC is running? Such as coffee maker, microwave, water heater, fridge. That 30 amp breaker is your main breaker I assume, or breaker on pole your plugged in to. Keep in mind your AC will normally draw approx. 15-17+ amps momentarily when compressor kicks in to cool, then drop back to 12-15 amps when running normal. If your AC is drawing too much current, then you would only normally trip 20 amp breaker for AC in your panel. Try switching other appliances to gas operation while running AC, such as water heater, and fridge. Make sure incoming voltage is up to specs as well . (115-120 volts)
If water heater takes 5-8 amps, and fridge takes same when they are calling for power, you'll be close or over the 20amp mark when you consider your on board converter etc. as well. That only leaves approx 10 amps for AC that requires approx 15 amps to run, and up to 20amps when compressor kicks in. If you switch all those other items over to propane, and it still happens, then a current draw test should be done on AC unit to see if perhaps a capacitor is faulty, or possible compressor faulty.

Frig keeps overloading circuit breaker, just repaced relay

I think the compressor has a problem with its internal running coil , or it's grounded. To check it you can disconect the power to the compressor and then turn on the breaker , and if doesn't tripped the breaker ,you know the compressor is bad.

Fan blows but not cold

possible breaker is bad. Have an electrician do an amp test on the compressor which will tell you if the compressor is bad. That is the only way to test the compressor. I would change the breaker first due to the age of the breaker and (if it hasn't been changed out before) due to the amount of time the breaker has ran your a/c system. I f this breaker continues to trip I would have the units compressor checked on amps being pulled from electric service

Everything works fine, except when the compressor kicks in the panel breaker trips.

Most likely a short in the compressor electrical components (relay, overload, capacitor) Supco makes a 3 in 1 that you could use. If this works fine, if not "bad compressor".

IR T 20 air compressor will not kick on

IS IT THREE PHASE OR SINGLE PHASE? MOTOR TAG WILL SAY PH 1 OR PH 3.DOUBLE BREAKER OR TRIPLE BREAKER WILL ALSO TELL. IS THIS A BRAND NEW INSTALL OR AN EXISTING COMPRESSOR THAT JUST NOW STARTED DOING THIS. SOUNDS LIKE A POWER PROBLEM LIKE A MISSING PHASE OR BLOWN FUSE. REMOVE FUSES WHEN OHM CHECKING - DONT TEST THEM WHILE STILL INSTALLED.
