Lightning mcqueen 12 volt power wheels will not go in reverse or turtle speed and the left driver tire does not move. is there a way to test the motor with a test light? Or is the problem in the switches? All connections have been cleaned and coated in dielectric grease.

Hello,

I would call customer support and find out why the powerwheel does not go into reverse. You advised that it was the f150. I can give you the link as to where I tried to see if there might of been a safety feature of not letting the unit go into reverse. Here it goes http://www.fisher-price.com/us/powerwheels/product.aspx?pid=38040 I am not sure if it is the same one. You can also call this number Contact Consumer Relations toll-free at 888-892-6123.

We are available Monday through Friday 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time, 6 AM to 3 PM Pacific Time.
They might be able to tell you about your exact model.

Power wheel F150 only works in reverse. (nothing happens in high or low gear). The problem started after he sprayed the truck with a hose. Is it fixable?

My son had the same problem. At first I was angry because we just bought this toy, but then I realized he didn't have it in gear all the way. I had him put it in reverse and drive it back a little. Then I told him to put it in drive, and (making sure it was properly in gear), told him to go and it did. I think it just takes the kids a little while to get used to it and make sure it's properly in gear. Good luck!

I just started having problems today. 2001 ford f150 . It felt like tranny was slipping. Checked fluid, a little low, topped it off. truck goes into reverse but wont move backwards. truck moves forward...

Sounds like the rear end differential is going out. I had a similar problem on a customer's truck, and it was the differential in the rearend. Replaced the rearend, and the noise was gone.

F150 SUPERCREW 4X4 5.4L Got stuck in the snow and

sounds like transmission damaged. if forward gears are operational, suspect transmission failure. If nothing working ( either in 2 or 4 wheel drive) suspect transmission or transfer case.

I have a 1989 ford F150 xlt and my reverse lighta dont work

ok i understand now the easiest thing for you to do is just get something to connect the two wires together,( like a short piece of wire ) bypassing the switch. have someone watch the reverse lights while you do this. if the lights come on then you need a switch. if not you have a bad wire or fuse/ fusible link. you can use a test light to see if you have power to the switch, one wire should have power and the other leads to the reverse lights. you can test the switch itself with a ohm meter, or continuity tester aswell if you have one. if you need more help i am here for you... dustang
