No, it resets itself because it is an older camera. Most older cameras will, once turned off, return to their original settings.
So, if you want it to be 76 frames, you will have to do that each time you turn on your camera.

That's not correct on The D-560Z. It has a manu setup to reset the config when it turn off, or to keep it. A different thing is if you remove the batteries.

Blurry pictures

When operating any digital camera, the camera tries to capture the best focus and exposure for that particular scene. By pressing the shutter button half-way down, the focus and exposure is being set. There will be a green circle on the upper left hand corner of the screen, then your camera is ready to take the picture. Slowly depress the shutter the rest of the way down to take the picture.

Also try to reset the camera back to factory defaults as there could be a setting that is causing the images to be blurry. To reset the camera - have the camera in shooting mode - go to Menu - left arrow to reset and press ok. Highlight yes and press ok. This will reset the camera back to factory settings. See if this clears up the blurry images.

How do you set up sequential shooting on an Olympus E500

Single-frame shooting o Shoots 1 frame at a time when the shutter button is
pressed. (normal shooting mode)
Sequential shooting j Shoots 4 frames or more at 2.5 frames/sec. (in SHQ,
HQ or SQ) for as long as the shutter button pressed.
Focus and exposure are locked at the first frame.
1 Press the </Y/j (Remote control/
Self-timer/Drive) button.
2 Use the control dial to set.
o Single-frame shooting
j Sequential shooting
3 Press the shutter button all the way to
take the picture.
Press the shutter button fully and keep it
pressed. The camera will take pictures in
sequence until you release the button.
Notes
Sequential shooting is not possible when [NOISE REDUCTION] (g P. 95) is set
to [ON].
During sequential shooting, if the battery check blinks due to low battery, the
camera stops shooting and starts saving the pictures you have taken on the card.
The camera may not save all of the pictures depending on how much battery power
remains.

The above comes from page 62 of your user manual.

Selected resolution will not save

You need to change the setting in the Menu of ALL RESET from ON to OFF so that it will retain any setting changes that you make. To do this Press Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Setup tab - right arrow to All Reset - right arrow and choose Off and then press Ok. This will retain the mode setting until you manually change it again or change all reset back to On.

Hi, I have a Olympus Camedia C-460. When opening to take a picture it defaults to a resolution of HQ 2288x1712. Is there any way I change the default to 640x480 which is available but has to be manually...

You need to go to the Menu and set the value for All Reset from ON to OFF. This will retain any setting changes that you make in the camera once it is powered off and back on. Press Ok - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Setup tab - right arrow to All Reset - then right arrow over to the selections of ON or OFF. Change it to OFF and press OK. It should retain SQ2 until you switch All Reset back to ON or manually change the resolution to be something else.

OLYMPUS CAMEDIA C-860L

If you find an online user manual for the Olympus C-860L camera, please tell me (send an email to "dave at burtonsys dot com").  Thanks!

In the meantime, try this...

With the data cable unplugged,

Open the sliding front to turn the camera on.

Press and hold the green button on the back, light up the LCD display,

Press the menu button on the top edge of the camera (the button farthest from the shutter button).  That should bring a menu up on the screen.

Press the menu button repeatedly to switch between menu screens.  E.g., press it twice to get to the resolution screen (SHQ / HQ / SQ).

Press the "+" and "-" buttons to move between menu items.

Press the shutter button to select/OK the menu item you have selected.

I hope this helps!

How can I change the Resolution?

Olympus has its own way of showing the resolution settings. It is OK once you get used to it. Turn the Camera On. (On the back you will see an OK button surrounded by 4 arrows.) Press the OK button to bring up the menu. Press the left arrow button That should bring up a choice of: TIFF, SHQ, HQ, SQ1, SQ2 Use the up/down arrow buttons to move the cursor to SQ1 Then press the right arrow button That should bring up a choice of settings. Use the up/down buttons to select a setting. I suggest you select 2048x1536 (which is 3 megapixels) Then press the OK button. ................ You should think about getting a memory card with a greater capacity.

Settings affected

The functions accessed from the arrow padā€”Self-Timer (arrow left key), Exposure Compensation for adjusting brightness (up arrow key), Macro and Super Macro Modes for close-up photos (right arrow key)ā€”will all be reset using the RESET arrow pad button. Also, the quality/resolution will be set back to the default of HQ. Settings such as language, date and time, and sleep time settings are not changed by using the reset button. These settings need to be manually selected through the menus in order to reset or change them.
