Hi. I have a Pentax Optio M20 Digital Camera. When I hit the on/off button, the camera turns on, the lens zooms out for a second and then back in, then it shows the "Pentax Optio M" load screen, then it shows "Auto Picture" in the center and a green dot in the bottom left with the words "EV Compensation" next to the dot. While it's showing this last screen, it beeps 3 times right before the lens zooms out again then back in just before the camera turns off. I have changed the batteries multiple times. So it's not the batteries.
I got it!!! on my cam i hold down the menu button at the same time power on, it will showup a " ver 1.00" and lens move a little maybe u have to do it 2 times but second time it should work

have same problem and i cant understand what happen sometimes the lens stuck little bit outside the housing and lens cover dont close
