Photos disappear on iPhoto

Hi Linden McNeilly,

In case if you have lost your photos from your iPhoto library. You can recover them back with the help of a photo recovery software. The one which I use is Yodot Mac Photo recovery software to recover iPhoto photos. So if you have any photo loss from your iPhoto library you can use this software.

How do i send photos from my digital to my home network computer using the usb connections?

On a Mac use iPhoto. It will recognize the camera and you can move the photos to a new album. A PC should recognize the camera as a new drive. Check the "My Computer" file for it.

I can't get my new MacBook to recognize and import photos.

Mac's don't need a driver to recognize the camera however they usually need a specific program for different brands of photos. You can also try opening up iPhoto as that will usually recognize the camera. If iPhoto doesn't work and you don't want to install a new program you can also get a card reader that'll connect via USB and will avoid needing any program to transfer photos.

Hello. I have a Nikon coolpix L18 Digital Camera and I have been trying to download the pictures to my computer at work which is a mac. This camera is borrowed and i don't have any software for it. And the...

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto.

Trying to install Olympus Digital wave recorder software on new Imac

Mac OS-X should recognize the camera without having to install software.  Plug the camera into the USB port and turn it on.  It should appear on the desktop as an external hard drive.  It may also start iPhoto up in import mode.  You can also import photos by selecting "Add to Library" from the drop down menu.

I am a Mac user. How do i download software for my camera?

You don't need to download any software to your camera.
You can download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software (for your Mac) here.

Camedia software for Mac

Don't use Camedia, use iPhoto. Copy the pics from the camera to the Mac and import to iPhoto. Much easier and no delay or lost photo.
