Web camera not active - Toshiba Satellite A505-S6975 Notebook

check driver of your webcam, if missing download & install the right driver thru-your camer, in internet to activate your camera.
If your driver is already install check the settings of your camera such as automatic, apply every settings in the relation to your camera. Then always check it if your web camera is ok.

Try holdoing down FN (bottom left of your keyboard) with associated F button (top of your keyboard) For example : Hold FN and F5 down together and release together. The associated F button should have a picture of a camera on it.

There are several ways you can use the camera on your toshiba laptop.
1.) Use a program such as Skype or Windows Messenger; these programs will only use your web camera when you video chat with someone else over the internet.
2.) Alternatively, most Toshiba laptops come with a built in program that you can use to activate the web camera, and you may even be able to record videos and take pictures. This program is usually found in a toolbar on the side of your screen. To use it, move your mouse cursor to the left side of your screen, and something should pop out. The camera can be activated from there.
3.) If this does not work, clicking on the start button (the circular windows logo found in the bottom left corner of the screen) and typing in camera should bring up a program called 'camera assistant.' Clicking on this should also start up the camera software.

As I have suggested for others, if you are using a VAIO computer, it is very easy to access the Camera application. The camera will get activated once you turn ON the computer. To access the camera, you can use the Arc Soft Web Companion Software. Click the Start button and search for the application in the search box.

Buy your data cable for your specific phone and connect the phone and the pc with your computer.
Then the computer can detect the mobile phone.
Then the dialogue box open
1.mass storage
2.web camera

Select the mass storage to operate the memory of the phone
Or
click the web camera to active the phone camera as web camera

This is happening because your web cam is not getting properly disconnected after you finish call or you finish self testing.

Possible your skype is set on automatically login when system starts, web cam will not work on 2 different platform at a time.

Click on Start on the task bar then go to the Control Panel. You should see
the web camera or Crystal Eye Webcam/Camera.
After you left or right click on the camera it should give you options on
how to activate or enable video capture if that doesn't work, just right
click on the camera and select properties and enable!

try uninstalling all camera software first,unplug the camera also.restart computer,when computer is completely restarted reinstall camera software,leave cd in computer restart,after coimputer has restarted plug in camera.this sould work.good luck
