Rangemaster LPG conversion?

If the LPG cylinders have the correct pressure regulator, no need to use an extra one but any regulator must be set to the correct pressure or removed.

Duel fuel Rangemaster Classic 90 (10years old) No gas supply to front small burner on hob! all other burners working fine.

Hi Anita,
I am not shure, but do this cooker have already flame faillure device?
In that case I thnk this is the problem.
If not, it is a clogged nozzle.
You can remove that nozzle, that is under the burnercap, with a 7 mm wrench. Then clean it so you can see trough it and put it back.
They look like the ones in the link.

Need to convert my rangemaster from ng to lpg but manufacturer is saying our model is unconvertible - help

Hi Helen.
Especially if you have a rig that calls itself Dual Fuel, it would seem that you should be able to convert. I looked up a manual for the Classic 110
http://www.rangemaster.co.uk/media/868812/toledo-lidded-110-dual-fuel.pdf Page 23 of the PDF (19 of the manual pages) specifically talks about there being conversion kits to swtich to different fuels. It also underscores that this should only be done by a certified gas engineer.

That said, my experience from shopping appliances for our house remodel several years back was that some sales people just stared blankly when we asked about running stoves on propane (we're a bit out in the sticks, no Natural gas hookups). Others would look at the same equipment and say 'oh, you need the converter fixture, which was more or less a flow restrictor to keep the energy content about the same as for the NG (propane is a bit higher energy content than NG).

In short, you should be able to convert between fuels, and the manual from the company itself says so.

Good Luck!

Best gas range?

Rangemaster without a doubt. You can get natural gas, and all come with conversion kit for LPG.

Is there a recommended type of LPG kit for 2004 BA Futura? What are the potential issues with fitting LPG to this model?

All LPG kits are custom to vehicles they are being installed on. The possible problems are the same with all models. They include Leaks, lose of Mileage and the obvious dangers of filling the tanks when needed. I will tell you this much, it is unlikely you will save any money converting to LPG as most conversions get far less mileage than they do on regular fuel. Also, a Conversion kit is a full conversion. Once installed you are not going to have the option of switching between the two when the LPG system fails. You would think with the faster burn rate you would have better acceleration in LPG vehicle and better Mileage since the Typical LPG fuel is a higher burning and cleaner burning fuel but in reality it it usually just the opposite in conversions and they have a tendency to vapor lock more often.
