Yellow blotch on screen

I have a problem with a yellow discoration on the screen.
We have changed the bulb and cleaned the outside of the lense but without any luck. The spot originally took up only about 5 % now it takes up over 33% of the screen.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Brian

Panasonic DLP TV has huge yellow blotch covering most of the screen

SET uses a optical light engine--lamp which is quite hot shines into the engine---blue is first to get the light and heat and is usually first area in the lens and baffles to get damaged(loss of blue leaves red and green which equal a yellow screen.

Picture has a yellow tint. It's from an old video game that ran over 12 hours a day. Has new bulb. Except for the yellow, works fine.

Hello there:
The best way to describe this is what is called screen burn in.
this is very common on screns that have games or pictures that arre displayed for long periods of time without being shut down just like on a computer screen when a screen saver is not used .
there is nothing wrong with the bulb.
the yellow that you are seeing is actually burned into the glass part of the projector and the lense
so if you can and feel like you can dissasemble the projector dissassemble it and locate the glass and see if you can get the yellow tint that will be on the glass and the lense off by using some rubbing alcohol and a cottomn swab
But if it wont come off you will have to replace the lense and the glass ok
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

I have yellow and purple blotches on screen

I had this same problem on my Mitsubishi rear projection WD52527 model television. The optic engine was changed twice, and the blotches were still there. It turned out that it was the mirror inside the television that was causing the purple blotches. It was filthy and once the repairman took it out and cleaned it the discolorations were gone. Hope this helps

Yellow ring on screen of KDF-E50A10 Sony Wega

The optical engine has a build up of dust. This can cause yellow shapes and blotches to appear. It is no easy task on this model to dismantle and clean the engine.

Hitachi projector model CP X260 projects yellow spot on screen

This is probably the polarizing filter. It will need to be replaced. It should not cost very much to fix.

Yellow band on the edge of screen

Hi chucri

This is most definitely not a lamp problem.

If a yellow colour in either stripes or blotches occur it is a blue LCD polarizer that needs replacement.
