I have a GE Energuide electric oven model GRCR3960ZBB 30" width 453kwh/year.It has started showing flashing light "F2" with some beeping.

Question edited for clarity. You range is a GE. Energuide is just a label to tell you that it is designed with money saving in mind.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks.

F2 is and temperature regulation issue.

If you have a GE oven, the error code F2 on the oven means that the temperature sensor has detected a temperature in excess of the preset threshold. The cause could be a sensor malfunction. However, that's unlikely because there are several GE oven error codes, and a bad sensor should trigger an F3 error code, not F2. Nevertheless, you should test the sensor anyway. If it checks out, you're probably going to have to replace the control panel because it's likely fried.

Hi, the F2 error code means that the oven is overheating for an unknown reason. F3 and F4 indicate a problem with the oven sensor, which usually requires replacing the sensor.

F2 code on GE selfcleaning oven

The F2 fault code generally means the Oven temp exceeds 590 w/ unlocked door High resistance or interference in oven temperature sensor Might want to check the oven sensor for high resistance. Get a ohm reading of the oven sensor at room temperature and tell me what this reading is.

GE Profile Wall Oven Model JCKP16GS-1

It sounds like this is a common occurance among GE ovens.
Shut off the power at the box, then remove faceplate then remove the keypad.
after doing so, remove it from connector, and clean pins with an eraser.
Make sure the terminals are clean of debris, and check for a reset button on the back of the keypad.
I hope this helped you out.

F2 error code

Intermittents are a real problem. My first guess: look around for a corroded or damaged electrical feed. Could be electrical noise from that. Not sure what No other possiblities other than a bad panel. I don't know what F2 is.

Ge gas oven/ranger xl44

The F2 is the code for the board seeing a temp higher than 600 degrees. It could be one of two things. The temp sensor is out of range, extreme high resistance. If you ohm it out it should read approx 1100 ohms at room temp. The other would be a welded bake relay on the board itself. Check the temp sensor first. If you are getting the F2 in the cleaning cycle, check the temp sensor, welded clean cycle contacts on the board or both contacts on the lock switch are closed at the same time. This is for the model posted JGBP90.
