If you get the bottom screen wet trying to clean in with Windex or something it will get in the screen and cause grey areas. if enough gets in it will cause the whole screen to look grey/dull

SOURCE: my nintendo ds lite top screen isn't working properly

Top LCD's flex cable that passes through right-hand hinge into bottom part of case will be damaged or not properly seated in its connector socket.

SOURCE: broken nintendo ds lite screen

Contact Nintendo about product warrenty. If it is still under warrenty, I highly suggest you send it to them for them to repair. If the warrenty has expired, you can contact Nintendo to check for replacement parts or to find out their policies on equipment repairs.

Nintendo DS Lite, Dim Green Light, Brigher Green Light then off

Hi,

If the green light reacts as you state then the chances are the fuses are fine.

Again, with the reaction of the green light being as you stated i'm going to assume you have a problem with one of your screens, tell me... when the green light comes on does one of the screens flash? If it does then we have found the answer...

The screen that doesnt flash is the one with the problem, you can try taking the DS lite apart and re-connecting the screens ribon to see if that sorts it, if it doesnt then im afraid you will have to buy a new screen. These can befound on ebay for a reasonable price.

I have written some guides on how to change your screens and how to disassemble the DS lite, these will guide youthrough the processes you need to take. These can be found by clicking on my name and then scrolling down to "tips and tricks", press the "view all" to see all of them and find what you need.

I hope this helps.

Lower screen of Nintendo DS Lite unusable due to colored lines

Hi,
The lower Screen usually takes all the force from the stylus, which eventually damages the actual screen itself.
Your best option, is to obtain a new lower screen. easier to replace than tthe top-screen.

Nintendo Ds Lite Top Screen Problem(pls help:( )

It is probably the connectors connecting the screen to the bottom part where the CPU is. My portable Wii screen does the same thing. If you can live with it, your OK, but you might need a new DS. I recommend a DSi!

Lower screen is all white, upper screen is working fine.

I had this happen to myself. It's a bad LCD. You could try smacking it gently a few times(with the DS off) to see if that re-seats anything loose inside but you're probably gonna have to call Nintendo.

Screen brightness

When you power up, make sure you don't have a game in to the unit. When the Menu screen comes up, there should be an icon in the bottom left corner that looks like a sun. Pressing this icon should allow you to change the brightness setting.
Hope it works!

Dim bottom screen on DS Lite

There should be either a button or a setting to adjust the lighting, try doing that.
